Lift lobbies. Profiled timber impacts the senses
at the arrival foyer with its cool, flat or reflective surfaces – glass, aluminium and
concrete.
Using set lengths available to create a
pattern. The pattern is visually articulated through
a series of profiled cuts into the solid timber
battens

An explanatory Building
A building that explains its operation and architecture. Its systems are exposed, construction layers pulled apart.
An LVL box beam roof structure is revealed at the upper levels of the main studio hall, showing students of
architecture and building the substance of the structure holding up the roof.

timber trussed roof system and a dramatic occupied timber stair that connects with the
ground floor.
