1. Education and degrees awarded

 PhD dissertation in Genetic Resources and Plant Breeding obtained at National Agriculture High
School (www.ensa.dz) in October 11, 2018. The goal of study has been the assessment of genetic
diversity of Algerian lentil accessions at both morphological and molecular level (using SSR
markers). Title Thesis: Study of genetic diversity of Algerians lentil landraces (Lens culinaris) using
morphological and SSRs markers.

 Magister dissertation in Genetic Resources and Plant Breeding obtained at National Agriculture
High School (www.ensa.dz) in July 4th, 2010. This work takes part of the evaluation and the
valorization of the plant genetic resources of fodder and pastoral interest in Algeria. It consists of a
morphological and phenological study corresponding to 29 Algerian populations of the species Sulla
coronaria. The results obtained confirm the importance to develop this species particularly in watered
area through the country. Title Thesis: Morphological and agronomic characterization of 29
Algerians populations of Sulla (Hedysarum coronarium).

 Engineer dissertation in Plant production obtained at School of Natural and Life Sciences (Blida
Univ.) in November 8th, 2002. In order to study the different factors that influence cell proliferation
in Atriplex Halimus specie, a somatic embryogenesis callogenesis protocol was initiated. Title
Thesis: induction of somatic embryogenesis from different explant type of Atriplex Halimus
(Amarantacees).

From March 14, 2012 until now. Number of Hours Worked per Week:40

a. Conduct project related to Algerian Garlic (Allium sativum) improvement through

biotechnological approaches. The approach consisting on use of wild relatives (Allium sp) spices to
identify, isolate and sequencing of Peronospora destructor résistance gene.

b. From September 2013 to July 2016: Leader of project related to marker-assisted selection based
breeding of lentil for lodging and Fusarium resistance and high nutritional quality. The research
project was developed in collaboration with a private company from seed production sector and has
as objective the development of new variety of lentil that have improved resistance to lodging and
Fusarium wilt with high nutritional value, by combining both conventional and marker assisted
selection approaches.
5. Previous work experience
 Full time Agronomist, Agricultural Extension Services, Tizi-Ouzou –Algeria. From, January 1,
2006 to December 31, 2007. During my working as Agronomy engineer, I was responsible for helping
farmers to discern the best ways to plant, harvest, and cultivate the plants, regardless of the climate
and develop methods to control weeds and pests to keep crops disease-free. Sometimes, I worked
overtime because of the nature of agricultural projects. In addition, address problems that may come
up in rural construction projects. Develop better farming practices and find effective solutions for the
food and farming industry. If there is a problem with a crop, I spend several hours examining the
crop, looking for signs as to whether there is a sign of disease, an insect problem, a weed issue or
even a problem with the soil. Then compare and research scientific journals and reference books as
well as speak with my peers in order to pinpoint the cause and find a solution. In addition, I make
presentations and speeches and present the ideas to farmers who can use the information for their own
harvests. I also spend a lot of time traveling and meeting with farmers, working with them to improve
crop efficiency and looking at any problems the farmer may be experiencing. Conduct educational
programs that provide farmers or farm cooperative members with information that can help them
improve agricultural productivity. Counsel and educate farmers and agriculturalists on latest farming
issues and techniques. Number of Hours Worked per Week:40

 Full time Customer Service Advise at Algerian Water Agency (AWA), Tizi-Ouzou –Algeria.
From, March 5, 2005 to December 31, 2005. Keeps management informed by submitting activity
and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory
analyses. In addition, I was involved in resolves customer complaints by investigating problems,
developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. Number of
Hours Worked per Week:40
