INTRODUCTION
Instruction: a. Let the students watch the video “Cats VS Cucumbers” -

b. Ask them how did they find the video, is it funny? Interesting? Or alarming?
c. You may also ask them what could be the reason why cats are afraid of cucumbers. (reason is stated

Explain that this reflexes are innate to cats, as a human though we don’t have such reflexes, we can hone
our skills via training, and like any other sports we first need to master the basic so we could apply it in
real life.

1. Straight Punch - is the standard power punch.

2. Low Block - the most basic taekwondo block that uses the arms to protect oneself from
the strike of an opponent.

3. Front Kick - is a snap or flash kick of the lower leg with force and follow-through.

4. Knife Hand Strike - is striking using the pinky-side of the open hand.

5. Back Fists - is a strike to surprise an opponent after missing the standard straight
punch.

6. Outside Block - one of the most fundamental blocks performed either a fist or a knife-
hand.

7. Side Kick - is done by turning the body sideways.

8. Double Forearm Block - the back fist unites with the front arm that provides support to
quickly respond if you need to block.

9. Face Block - the blocking with the arm on the side of the striking kick.
