Iyo-Yoshida Station
Iyo-Yoshida Station (伊予吉田駅, Iyo-Yoshida-eki) is
a passenger railway station located in the city of U
Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR 25
Shikoku and has the station number "U25".[1][2] Iyo-Yoshida Station

Iyo-Yoshida Station is served by the JR Shikoku Yosan
Line and is located 283 kilometres (176  mi) from the
beginning of the line at Takamatsu.[3] Only local trains
serve the station. Eastbound local trains terminate at
Matsuyama. Connections with other services are
needed to travel further east of Matsuyama on the
line.[4]

In addition, the Uwakai limited express also stops at the


station.[4]

The station consists of two opposed side platforms
Uwajima City, Ehime
serving two tracks. A station building, which is now
unstaffed, serves as a waiting room. Access to the Prefecture 799-3710
opposite platform is by means of a footbridge.[2][5][3] Japan

History Construction
Structure At grade
The station was opened on 2 July 1941 as part of the type
then Uwajima Line which ran from Uwajima to
Unomachi. Subsequently, the track of the then Yosan Disabled No - platforms linked by
Mainline was extended westwards from Yawatahama access footbridge
and linked up with the Uwajima Line at Unomachi on Other information
20 June 1945. The Uwajima Line and its stations,

including Iyo-Yoshida, then became part of the Yosan
Mainline from that date. At that time, the station was Station code U25
operated by Japanese Government Railways (JGR), History
later becoming Japanese National Railways (JNR).
Opened 2 July 1941
With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, control
of the station passed to JR Shikoku.[6][7] Passengers
