At least 30 people became victims of traffic accidents

on Jalan Sultan Agung, West Bekasi District, Bekasi City,

West Java, Wednesday (31/8/2022).
The incident started when the truck wobbled until it hit a
large pole resulting in 10 deaths, consisting of 7 children
and 3 adults.
Kombes Latif Usman revealed the chronology of the
deadly truck accident in Bekasi which left 10 people
dead and 20 others injured.

The accident occurred on Jalan Sultan Agung Km 28.5,

Kota Baru Village, West Bekasi, Bekasi City, Wednesday
(31/8/2022) afternoon.
Latif said the truck initially lost control until it hit the
shoulder of the road and hit a bus stop.
"(Initially) it hit the bus stop and people were waiting at
the bus stop," Latif said as quoted from Kompas TV live
broadcast.

At that time, the bus stop in front of the Kota Baru II and
III State Elementary Schools was filled with children
waiting to be picked up after school.
Furthermore, the truck continued to drive until it hit a
Telkomsel communication tower pole.
The pole collapsed and hit a number of other vehicles.
He said there were 30 people who were victims of the
accident, 10 of whom were reported dead.
The truck driver has been arrested.
