1.What are the salient features of the grading system under the k to 12?
The salient features of the grading system under the k to 12 are the following:
Strengthening early childhood education,
Making the curriculum relevant to learners,
Ensuring integrated and seamless learning,
Building profiency through language (Mother tongue)
Gearing up the future
Nurturing the holistically developed Filipino

2.How does it differ from the RBEC?

The new curriculum, or K-12, provides students with a decongested 12-year program from
kindergarten to grade 12, giving them enough time to master skills and acquire basic
competencies in order to be competitive on a global scale. Students in the new system will
be equipped with the skills needed for advancement and higher education. While RBEC
aims to improve the quality of learners and graduates and empower them for lifelong
learning, functional literacy is required.
3. How are learners given recognition in the K to 12 grading system?
All grades will be based on the weighted summative assessment score of the students. Every
quarter, grades 1–12 are graded on written work, performance tasks, and quarterly
assessments. These are assigned specific percentage weights based on the nature of the
learning area.
4.Do you think this system guarantees fairness in rating students’ performance?
Yes, because it is based on their ability in the subject they have studied and their level of
knowledge, it ensures fairness in rating students. All we have to do is provide feedback to
evaluate their learning abilities.
