Question and Answer Poetry

This poem is written in two stanzas. In the first stanza the writer asks
questions of the person, animal or personified object. In the second stanza, the
questions are answered as though by the person, animal or personified object.

Little bird in the tree. Snowman in the park.

Where is it that you disappear to at night? Why is it that you smile?
How do you keep your feathers so shiny? How many days old are you?
Will you teach me the secrets of flying? Do you feel the cold?

Oh, my friend, Hello kind person strolling by.

I flit high to a treetop as the sun leaves My mouth was made this way.
Preening several times a day. Freshly made this morning.
Flying is just for the birds, I’m afraid. My scarf is keeping me warm.
