Colossians 3:1-4

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things
above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden
with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also
will appear with Him in glory.
“If” is a very important word here… A person can not seek those things
above if a person has not been raised with Christ.
A person has a difficulty not to set his mind on things of the earth if the
person has not died with Christ.
A person need to know that he died with Christ and raised with Christ.
Christ did not only died for us but we died with Him. He was not raised
for us but we were raised with Him. Christ is not alone sitting at the right
hand of God but we were seated with Him in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 2:5-6 (We were seated with Christ)

even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with
Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and
made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Romans 6:3-4 (We died with Christ and were raised together with Him)

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus
were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him
through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by
the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Your new life is the life of Christ … When Christ … who is your life…
Galatians 2:20
20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth
in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the
Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
A Challenge: Knock on someone’s door and ask them “Do you want to
see Christ?” Where? Point at yourselves and say “Here, you are staring at
Him right now….
The angels knows this even satan himself knows this that your life is
Christ life…. That’s why he is doing his best to hide this truth in you. He
wants you to be ignorant of this truth. Because he knows that your life is
that of Christ you can do great things to advance the Kingdom of God
internally.
John 14: 10-13 (Jesus is in you, you have the very life of Jesus)
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the
10

words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father,
and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he
do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my
Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the
Father may be glorified in the Son.
The word that you speak is not of yourself but Jesus that dwells in you and
it is Jesus who does the works. Glory Hallelujah!
Your life is hidden with Christ.
How did Christ hides you life. By making you as one with Jesus
Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
17

passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of
God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to
us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ,
reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto
them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then
we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we
pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
To be reconciled means to unify, to blend, to unite, to fuse, join, in other
words to make as one.
Committed unto us the word of reconciliation. The apostles has given the
ministry of people to be one with Christ. This is possible because the
forgiveness and Jesus Christ work on the cross. People now can be one
with God.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ. Notice it does not say
ambassadors for the Kingdom… which is a country, but ambassador of
Christ which is a Person. Represent Christ. Why because we are qualified
to be His ambassador because we have His Life.
How can we ambassador of the Kingdom if the physical Kingdom of God
is not yet on this first earth. And God will not establish His Kingdom on
this first earth because the first earth is subject to decay. God is going to
re-create or re-genesis or to make new. That’s why Jesus said the
Kingdom of God does not come visibly, nor people will say here it is, or
there is it… because the Kingdom of God is within you. He want first to
establish the Kingdom within us. That’s why he wants us to be
ambassadors for Christ and not for a country.
That’s why when the Apostle was asking Jesus when He is going to
restore the Kingdom to Israel in Acts 1:6-8
Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord,

will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to
them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put
in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit
has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Witnesses for Jesus … we are qualified to be a witnesses for Jesus because
His life has become our life.
We will appear with Him in Glory
John 14:1-3
1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In
my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also.
John 14:18-20
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while,
18

and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall
live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me,
and I in you.
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we

shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for
we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him
purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Revelation 21
1
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the
first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John,
saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice
from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He
will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be
with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from
their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There
shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”

And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the

Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life
freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I
will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving,
abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars
shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone,
which is the second death.”
The New Jerusalem
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the

seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will
show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in the
Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy
Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God.
Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as
crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve
angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the
twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates
on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the
14

names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me
had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is
laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured
the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and
height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four
cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The
construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear
glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds
of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the
third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth
sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth
chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve
gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the
street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
The Glory of the New Jerusalem
But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are
22

its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,
for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the
nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the
earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all
by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and
the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it
anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who
are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Why Is it that a person Has Jesus life in Him yet that person still commit
sin?
He does not yet completely see that that person indeed is dead to sin.
That person lacks a revelation that his sinful nature or old life has been
crucified on the cross with Christ.
What does in mean dead to sin?
Ephesians 2
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which
you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the
prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of
disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the
lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and
were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
We have a sinful nature or the old self? Because of Adam’s disobedience
all of us who were in Adam was was also corrupted.
Romans 5:19
19
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by
one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Romans 7:17
For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I
do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I
myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good
lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.
Before you can see that your sinful nature has been crucified on the cross,
you need to see first the implication of the Law.
2 Purposes of the Law.
1. To let you know that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23 - Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s
sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become
conscious of our sin.
2. To let you know that you can not obey the law.
The law will revive sin, empowers a person to disobey.
The Law is a tutor. A tutor to remind you or teach you that a person is a
sinner and to teach you that you can not obey. Until a person will not
admit that he is a sinner and he can not obey the law, the tutor will remain
in him. But once a person say I am a sinner and I can not obey the law, the
tutor has accomplished its work and he will hand the person to Christ. The
person will fully realize that Christ has put to death his sinful nature and
that Christ has given him a new nature which is the very life of Christ
himself.
