PORTRAIT OF JESUS MADE IN BEAD ARTS
This is a portrait of jesus made in beads.
The material use is different color of beads and
a piece of paper to stick those beads to be able
to create a portrait of jesus. Beadwork can
transform a mess of parts into something
meaningful. Although beadwork has been
practiced in many cultures over the centuries,
the aesthetics and motifs of this art form may
differ from one region to another. Many
beadwork pieces have a symbolic visual
language.
ART APPRECIATION
WEAVE BASKET
This kind of basket has been a part of the
Philippine cutulture and the process of making
this have been passed down from generation to
generation in certain places in the Philippines.
Philippines baskets are constructed from
bamboo and rattan and often a combination of
the two. Plaiting and twining produces a wide
range of sizes and forms. Filipinos use baskets
for transportation and farm work, food service
and storage, fishing and trapping, clothing, and
to carry personal items.
