WHAT IS AN AMERICAN BULLY?
The American Bully is a modern breed
of dog that was developed as a
companion dog. The American Bully was
originally standardized and recognized
as a breed in 2004 by the American
Bully Kennel Club (ABKC). Now what is
the ABKC, well it is a Breed registry of
purebred dog pedigrees in the United
States.
COMPANION DOG
WHAT IS A COMPANION DOG
A companion dog is a dog that does
not work, providing only companionship
as a pet, rather than usefulness by
doing specific tasks. Many of the these
dog breeds are used only for the
pleasure of their company, not as
workers.
ROLE IN THE
FAMILY
Kuma's role in the family is to give
companionship to me and my mother
and he gives us joy. He greets us
whenever one of us returns home and
jumps on me. I teach Kuma tricks such
as sitting down on command and giving
me a handshake. He is mainly the
source of love and affection in the
house and he helps us feel better.

dog Kuma is a Standard American
Bully type which is a medium-sized
dog with a compact bulky muscular
body, heavy bone structure, and
blocky head. Male dogs must be 17
to 20 in (43 to 51 cm), while females
must be 16 to 19 in.

The American Bully is best known for its tough and
intimidating appearance however its behavior is the
complete contrast to its appearance. The behavior of the
American Bully is friendly and kind but protective nature.
This is why they are considered as good family dogs because
they are protective however they are more fitting as
companion dog because of their friendly nature. The
American bully is Very loving towards children, Intuitive to
their owner’s emotions, Eager to please, Friendly with
strangers, Non-aggressive towards other animals, Gentle,
and Confident.
 PSYCHOLOGICAL
BENEFITS
The Psychiatric viewpoint or the psychological benefit of having a
dog is that they can be Service Dogs that help people with
depression, anxiety, PTSD, social phobias, and mild OCD behaviors.
Dogs can be trained to perform at least one task to alleviate these
problems. Any breed of dog can be a Psychiatric Service Dog. And if
a dog has been trained to have impeccable manners and is of sound
temperament the dog can then become a Service Dog.
Even if the dog is not trained there are still psychiatric benefits.
Simply petting a dog can help people relax. Petting a dog is one of
the most relaxing things you can do, it releases a hormone called
oxytocin which reduces stress, it also lowers your heart rate, and
lowers blood pressure.

that they will care for the family
and the children of their owners,
they are non-aggressive and kind
dogs so They will be friendly
towards people and they are very

from its kind nature,
because of their gentle and
kind type of trait they are
