"Futsal"

Futsal earned the status of FIFA's official form of indoor soccer in the 1980s as it was
recognized as a scaled down version of outdoor soccer played indoors. It is a 5 v 5
small-sided game played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, low
bounce ball.Futsal is the FIFA-recognised form of small-sided indoor football (the word
is a contraction of the Spanish 'fútbol sala'). It is played between two teams who each
have five players on the pitch at any one time, with rolling substitutes and a smaller ball
than soccer that is harder and less bouncy.

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that is played across the world
and is officially recognized by both FIFA and UEFA.

Futsal earned the status of FIFA’s official form of indoor soccer in the 1980s as it was
recognized as a scaled down version of outdoor soccer played indoors.  It is a 5 v 5
small-sided game played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, low
bounce ball.  Futsal is played with touchline boundaries and without walls.

Futsal places a large emphasis on technical skill in high pressure situations which can be
translated into the outdoor game.  The sport is a great skill developer as it demands
quick reflexes, fast thinking and pin-point passing.

Futsal is played in all the continents of the world by over 100 countries with 12 million
players.  Great soccer superstars such as Pele, Zico, Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka and Katia grew
up playing the game and credit futsal with developing their skills.

Futsal players experience fatigue as the game progresses due to the high-intensity
nature of the game, and the ability to repeat maximal sprint efforts and resist fatigue is
paramount to the player's overall game performance

In all of these different training programs, they all cover the same basics for the specific
fitness, Energy systems and training principles. The main fitness components in any
sport are Speed, Power, Flexibility, balance/stability, Agility and Strength. Out of all
these different types of fitness types, the main ones that are relevant towards Futsal are
Speed, for the movement around the court quickly. Power for force behind a kick so it
goes further, faster. Balance/Stability is not used as often because it isn't used to often
in the game. Agility is used to get around other players or turning quickly to get from
one place to another quickly as possible. All of these different fitness types that are
relevant to the game were expressed in the training programs as well so it helps with
the training being for efficient in what is meant to do. With the training of the
competitive Macrocycle, the point of it is to get the athlete/s to be the best that they
can be when the main event that they are competing for. So the question is, did the
previous training sessions and the drills inside them do what they are meant to. The
training sessions had all the components in most of the training sessions. They all
covered the basics of what they needed to do in the period of time that was allowed for
them. They didn't have to much intensity for the ones that were placed at the end or at
the very start, also the ones in the middle had been intense enough for the training that
it needed to be.
