Topic

“The perception of ABM Students of Jose C. Feliciano College towards

Face to Face classes”

Identified Problem

As we all know, online learning is the new normal education where we

use technologies. However, According to the Department of Education
(DepEd), President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has approved the pilot
implementation of face-to-face classes in low-risk areas on September 20,
2021. For the past two years, students have been talking nonstop about
how online classes are draining them, yet with this sudden
announcement, they have been sharing that they are adapting well to
online classes and they are still not ready for face-to-face classes. Even
though the government is in-line with implementing face-to-face classes,
they will need the perception of the students regarding this matter since
it is their health and learning abilities that will be put at risk. Note that low
risk is still a risk.

Objectives

In order to identify the students’ perception, we have to conduct a

survey regarding it. Through the survey, we can determine if which is more
suitable for students in terms of their (preferable) learning methods since
their health and opinions matter here as they will be the ones that will put
their time and effort into studying. Learners cannot stay in online learning
forever, but the researchers are implying that as of now, there are still risks,
and exposing students to this kind of matter can not only affect their
education but also the economy’s health sector.
Contributions

The following may benefit from the findings of this study:

To the DepEd: This research could make the government realize if a face-
to-face class is the best learning method in this time of the pandemic, with
the student’s health in mind. If the majority of the learners agreed with
face-to-face classes, they can develop a program that will help them
prevent spreading the disease.

To the School: This study could benefit the school as they will be able to
determine how many students agree/do not agree with face-to-face
classes and what are their reason behind it.

To the Future Researchers: This study will be beneficial to future

researchers, and this may also serve as a reference if they are to conduct
research that is similar.
