1. Configuration
1.1 System Components
(1) CCD camera
The digital TV camera utilizes a CCD camera (solid-state image sensor) as the
light receiving section for capture of 1 megapixel, 14 bit output.
It consists of a CCD unit, TV iris, ND filter, and lens.
This unit mainly performs real-time processing and incorporates circuitry that
carries out camera control, fluoroscopy image processing, and monitor output, and
also acts as an interface for the X-ray high-voltage generator. The SCU is normally
set up below the sub-desk.
This unit runs Windows XP, and is used for image processing. The PC
incorporates the CPU, image acquisition circuitry, multiple drives, and various
interfaces.
It can save and output up to a maximum of 15 fps, 1024×1024 pixel, 12 bit images.
(4) Keyboard
(5) Mouse

2. Overview of Operations
2.1 Basic Operation
This machine has an operating environment based upon Windows XP, and is operated
using a keyboard and mouse. Use combinations of the following operations in order to
perform desired image acquisition and image processing.
2.1.1 Keyboard
(1) Character input
Key operations that directly interface with Windows, such as the Windows key,
[Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del], [Alt] + [Tab], and [Ctrl] + [Esc] are restricted.
In the event of the OS failing to start or other problems, confirm that the access
lamps for hard disk or multiple drives are not lit, and then turn OFF the PC power
switch.

2.1.2 Mouse
Operate the mouse to select an item to be performed.
In addition, use the mouse when specifying locations on the screen. Moving the mouse
moves the mouse cursor (mouse pointer) a corresponding distance in the
corresponding direction.
Use when moving through menus, selecting images, and performing actions
on icons.
(b) Double click (press the mouse button twice in quick succession)
Use to perform default operations. For example, by using the left mouse
button to double click a reduced image, you can display that image in full
screen mode.
(c) Drag (move the mouse while holding a mouse button down)
(d) Wheel
Rotating the wheel allows operations similar to moving the scroll bar.
After selecting an image, you can rotate the wheel to turn through pages, or
feed frames.
Except when stated otherwise, operations using the left button are described.

end of a study (patient registration, image acquisition,
image processing, printing instructions, and ending study)
→ Refer to section 4.
(Refer to section 3 regarding patient registration)
(b) Archives mode : Retrieves and views past studies from the database.
Operations such as copy/correction of studies, image
deletion setting, and export are performed here.
→ Refer to section 5.
(c) Film mode : By sending images displayed in preview to this mode, you
can confirm printed images.
→ Refer to section 7.
(e) Queue mode : Displays the processing status of sending to the DICOM
server, saving to external media, and print output.
(f) Recycle mode : The image that has been specified for deletion may also
be restored for display.
→ Refer to section 9.
(g) Utility mode : Mode for input of items to be set in advance, such as
protocol names, sequential acquisition parameters, image
processing parameters, and printer formats. Changing
these settings requires system administrator authorization.
→ Refer to section 6.

preview screen or from the Study List on the database screen to external media.
However, to transfer a fluoroscopic acquisition image from the Study List on the
database screen, you can only transfer the displayed representative image. To
transfer fluoroscopic acquisition images other than the representative image, you
must display the image on the preview screen first. The operation method is the
same as the procedure explained in the section for outputting images to a server.

the media has sufficient memory.
This is because the system calculates the number of storable images at
the uncompressed size due to image compression ratio varying
depending on the image. For rewritable media, you can make effective
use of the media capacity by reducing the number of images saved at
one time.

10. Saving Images to REV and
Reuse of REVs
The REV is used to back up images in the hard disk of the PC. Ensure that a REV
cartridge is inserted when using the system.
When a study is not being performed (from login to image acquisition and from the end
of the study to the start of shutdown), the data saved in the hard disk of the PC is
backed up to a removable hard disk (REV). If a REV cartridge is not inserted, then data
that has not been saved will be collectively written to a REV cartridge when one is next
inserted. If there is insufficient disk space remaining on the REV cartridge, then insert a
new cartridge.
If images are saved to DICOM devices or other systems and backup of images to the
REV is not required, you can delete the images saved on the REV cartridge to reuse the
disk.
CAUTION: If the REV cartridge is cleared, then you will no longer be able to restore
images that were deleted from the internal hard disk.
(1) Turn ON the power, and insert the REV cartridge you wish to reuse.
(2) Input "rev" into the User ID field, input the password, and then log in.
No. 2B305-782EN

(3) The REV management screen appears. This displays information including the
REV number and remaining disk space.
(4) Confirm that REV Clear in the REV information area displays "Enabled.," and then
click the [Clear] button. Data saved on the REV cartridge is deleted, and you can
use this as a new cartridge.
(5) Click the [Logoff] button, and return to the Login screen.
Other information and functions on the REV management screen are as below.
[REV information]
REV status : When the drive has correctly recognized the REV cartridge,
"REV is Normal." is displayed.
Disk Space : Displays Total Space, Used Space, and Free Space.
1KB is displayed as 1024 bytes. Several GB of free space is
reserved for system management and database retention.
REV Clear : Displays "Enabled." if the REV cartridge can be cleared, and
"Disabled." if the REV cartridge has been cleared, or cannot be
cleared.

"Disabled." if the REV cartridge cannot be recovered.

[REV Finalization]
Normally, you cannot save backups to a new REV cartridge until there is little
remaining REV cartridge space, and the task bar indicates that insertion of a new
REV cartridge is necessary. If a new REV is to be used for some reason, clicking
the [Finalize] button for finalization with the REV cartridge inserted makes it
possible to complete backup storage and to start backup on a new REV cartridge
even if there is remaining space in the REV cartridge. In these cases, the REV #
increases by 1.
Recent REV Status : Displays history of the last clear and finalizing
operations.
Last Finalized REV No. : Displays the last finalized REV number.

CAUTION: You cannot recover images that have been deleted from the hard
disk. The number of images that were recovered from the total
number of acquired images remaining on the hard disk is displayed
on the right of the list.
