education, he sadlyl eaving school at the age of 16. But he is returning and passing with honors
at a local university and has worked in government, the MBIE and the State Services
Commission.

Behind this, Guled has not forgotten his original purpose and helped to construct the Third
Culture Minds which helped and facilitated communication about conversations about racism
and discrimination in New Zealand and charted how we could become a welcoming society.

What is Third Culture Minds: They are a group committed to promoting positive mental health
outcomes and well-being for ethnic youth in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Third Culture Minds was
founded on the liberating experience of not having to explain yourself, to simply tell your
story, sharing it with people who understand you. "We may not come from the same
background as you, but we know what it's like to be a third culture kid in New Zealand." Third
Culture Minds is a space for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. But they
don't discriminate, if you're interested in what we do, need help, or just want to say hello –
come be a part of our story.

At Third Culture Minds, they believe in the power of direct, face-to-face engagement and they
promote some workshops with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds across
New Zealand. Its main focuses are: Developing positive mental health and well-being /
Discovering and discussing inner barriers to discussing mental health / Promoting relevant
mental health resources and services / Providing safe spaces for third culture children to
discuss and share their unique and diverse experiences.

critical for the people who are blessed to live here to reach their full potential. He even talked
