INTRODUCTION

The use of pedestrian walkways is highly practiced in the UiTM Iskandar Series where mostly all the students are walking from a place to
another. However, there is some dissatisfaction among students regarding the use of the pedestrian walkway provided. As it is the main way
of student to move around the UiTM Seri Iskandar, research has been conducted to identify and solve the problem. The research take place at
UiTM Seri Iskandar, and it involve resident students to answer the questionnaire distributed. The data that has been collected will be
analyzed. Then a recommendation will be issued to resolve the issue.

GOAL OBJECTIVE

1. To identify the issues and problem related to pedestrian

pathway infrastructure towards student’s daily use and
To make the pedestrian walkway a frequent
path that comfortable and safe to use 2. To evaluate the level of UiTM student’s satisfaction
for every students in UiTM Seri and experience in using the pedestrian walkway
Iskandar. 3. To suggest an improvement of pedestrian’s walkway
facilities and infrastructure design towards UiTM Seri
Iskandar students

INVOLVES

The pedestrian and walkways facilities seem to be lacking and not well maintained. This has been an issue for OBSERVATION
the students who live in the campus, when they need to walk from their residential block to their academic block
as they tend to walk on the street rather than on the pedestrian.

1.4 Data Collection Method

SLIDESMANIA.COM

A survey questionnaire and data collected from journals were used to conduct research on student
satisfaction with the pedestrian walkway at UiTM Seri Iskandar. Before distributing the questionnaire to the
students, a pilot survey was conducted among some of the students who live on campus. As a result, the
questions in the questionnaire are condensed and can provide answers to the problem.

3.1 Summary of Findings

Through the analysis that has been done in the study area which is UiTM Seri Iskandar, the following are the factors and reasons why Uitm Seri Iskandar
students are not interested in using pedestrian walkways as their main route. Among them are :-

SAFETY FACTOR

Conclusion

In completing this task by collecting the necessary data, we have used a variety of methods and ways that are in line with the research
conducted such as observation methods, questionnaires and internet observation on the appropriate website links to get accurate and
authentic information so as not to make mistakes with the research done. Therefore, the process of completing this assignment is in line
with the objective findings that have been discussed which is to obtain information from students who use pedestrian walks, analyze the
responses from UiTM Seri Iskandar student respondents and to make recommendations to solve problems related to the issue of
pedestrian walks at Uitm Seri Iskandar . Therefore, there are several suggestions and efforts that can be taken to resolve issues that arise
in relation to pedestrian walks at Uitm Seri Iskandar. Among them, adding more roofed pedestrian walkways along the footpath at Uitm
Seri Iskandar, planting or adding shaded areas on pedestrian walkways, repairing the damage surface of pedestrian walkways in Uitm
Seri Iskandar for user safety and improving conditions and adding the total of pedestrian walkways lights at Uitm Seri Iskandar for safety
elements when students use it at night. Thus, we can minimize issues and problems related to pedestrian walkways at Uitm Seri Iskandar
and encourage students to use pedestrian walkways safely which can reduce air pollution such as the release of carbon dioxide gas from
motor vehicles around Uitm Seri Iskandar while also being healthy a body that can further strengthen the relationship between students.
