IELTS Listening

Time: Approximately 30 minutes

INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

● There are 40 questions in this test.


● Each question carries one mark.
● There are four parts to the test.
● Please note you will only hear each part once in your actual test. However, for familiarisation and practise purposes,
you can adjust the sound beforehand.
● For each part of the test, there will be time for you to look through the questions and time for you to check your
answers.

Do not click 'Start test' until you are told to do so.


IELTS Academic Reading

Time: 1 hour

● There are two parts to this test.


● Part 2 contributes twice as much as Part 1 to the writing score.
● The test clock will show you when there are 10 minutes and 5 minutes remaining.

IELTS Speaking

Time: 11 - 14 minutes

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

● You can change your answers at any time during the test.

INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

● There are three parts to this test.


● In Part 1, you answer general questions about yourself, your home, family, job, studies, your interests and a range of
familiar topic areas.
● In Part 2, the examiner will give you a topic and you need to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. Before you
talk, you will have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes and refer to them
during your talk if you wish.
● In Part 3, the examiner asks you questions which are connected to the topic in Part 2.
