{ Hot Air Balloon - baby mobile }

Note: This hot air balloon measures 15 cm approximately. Of course should you choose a different hook or yarn
calling, measures will vary.

Materials
- 3.00 mm crochet hook
- 100 % cotton yarn for a 3.00 mm hook
- Polyfiber fill for stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Two wooden sticks to hang the mobile. I bought this one for my niece.

Colors
- 4 colors for the hot air balloon.
- 1 color for the basket
- 1 contrasting color for the straps that hold the basket and the ruffles
- White for the clouds

Close, break the yarn and weave in ends. Fold the edge of the basket outwards.

Straps
1. Chain 60 ch stitches.
Close and break the yarn, leaving a long tail to sew. Repeat 3 more times to make 4 straps.

Ruffle
1. Chain 25 ch stitches. Starting from the second ch from hook, crochet: 3 slst, 3 sc, 3 hdc, 6 dc, 3 hdc, 3 sc, 3 slst 
Close and break the yarn, leaving a long tail to sew. Repeat 3 more times to make 4 ruffles.

Assembly
- Sew the straps in the tip of the balloon, forming a cross (perpendicularly). Help yourself with some pins. Fix them
in place with a few stitches in the middle section of the balloon.

Then sew the basket in the other end of the straps. Finally pin the ruffles and sew them in place with some stitches
(using the remaining tails in the ends).

Close and break the yarn, leaving a long tail to sew to the body... Add fringes in one of the ends!

Scarf
{Using the color of your choice...}
1. Chain 4 ch stitches. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 1 sc in each remaining ch stitch (3 sc)
2. to 26. Chain 1 and turn. ONLY THROUGH BACK LOOPS, crochet 3 sc
To close the circle of the scarf, sew both ends together with a few stitches using your tapestry needle or crocheting
3 slst joining together the stitches on both ends.

Assembly
- Sew the arms to the body
- Sew the ears to the body

- A pair of 6 mm safety eyes or yarn to embroider them

Ribbon

1. Chain 9 ch stitches. From the second chain from hook, crochet 1 sc in each chain (total stitches: 8 sc). Chain 1
and and turn.

2. to 3. Crochet 8 sc. Chain 1 and and turn.

4. Crochet 10 sc. Chain 1.

Before breaking the yarn, crochet a series of sc all along the sides of the rectangle and the other side of the
foundation chain. Close, break the yarn and weave in ends. Use the same color to tie several rounds of yarn in the
middle and finish with a knot. Leave a long tail to sew to Minty’s head.

Assembly

- Sew the ears to the head.

- Sew the arms to the sides of the body.

- Sew the ribbon to the head
