This document discusses reinforced cement concrete (RCC), including what it is made of, its constituents, why steel reinforcement is added, grades of RCC, and examples of common RCC building components. RCC is a composite material made of cement, fine and coarse aggregates, water, and sometimes admixtures. Steel reinforcement is included to improve the tensile strength. RCC comes in various grades defined by compressive strength. Common RCC building components mentioned are columns, beams, slabs, and lintels.

WHAT IS IT?? CEMENT FINE AGGREGATE COARSE AGGREGATE
RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) is a widely used building material in a variety of structures. It is a versatile building material as it can be easily mixed and compacted to form a variety of shapes used in the structure It is a composite building material consisting WATER ADMIXTURES of structural concrete reinforced with a reinforcing material like steel. It is made up of basic constituents of cement, water, fine aggregate as well as coarse aggregate/sand. Additional admixtures are also included during the preparation process. These admixtures allow for a modification in the properties of the ordinary concrete and make it useful according to the intended needs of the structure, external conditions etc. Once this ready-made mixture of concrete is ready, after appropriate tests and trials, it is then poured into the desired moulds for use in the building structure such as footings, beams, slabs etc. A re-bar or reinforcing bar is also built into these moulds and allow for the completion of the RCC member. BUT WHY ADD REINFORCEMENT CONSTITUENTS IN EACH STEEL TO CONCRETE ?? GRADE OF RCC REGULAR CONCRETE Grades of concrete are defined by the strength and composition of High compressive strength the concrete, and the minimum strength the concrete should have However more prone to bending due to following 28 days of initial construction. The grade of concrete is poor tensile strength understood in measurements of MPa, where M stands for mix and Less rigid structure the MPa denotes the overall strength.
