REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES

OFFICE OF THE CITY PROSECUTOR

CITY OF MUNTINLUPA
THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES,
Complainant, I.S. No. 17357
-vs- For: Bigamy (Art 349,
Revised Penal Code)
VICENZO GUISEPPE,
Respondent.
x----------------------------------------------x

COMPLAINT-AFFIDAVIT
I, SATELLA BRIGETTE-GUISEPPE, of legal age, Filipino Citizen, married and a resident of
Santo Carlo Poblacion, Muntilupa City, after being sworn in accordance with law herby depose
and say that:
1. That the respondent Vicenzo Guiseppe and I met sometime in February 2001 while being
schoolmates at the Benedictine Abbey School in Alabang, and became sweethearts after a long
and persistent courtship by respondent;
2. Being madly in love with each other, and since both of our parents consented, we got married
on December 1, 2013 in a civil wedding ceremony solemnized by Hon. Judge Pietro Salvatore in
the city of Muntinlupa. Copy of the Certificate of Marriage dated January 13, 2013 issued by the
National Statistics Office is hereto attached as Annex ‘A’;
3. After our wedding, we lived together as husband and wife in our conjugal dwelling in an
exclusive village at Muzen oAlabang, Muntilupa City;
4. Several months into our marriage, respondent began to exhibit his irresponsibility and
carelessness attitude. He would frequently leave the house and would come back only after
several days on the pretext of working on an automobile project. Such behaviour on the part of
respondent resulted in our quarrels and verbal altercation
5. After a nasty quarrel sometime in 2016, the respondent left our conjugal dwelling and that was
the last time I saw him. I then tried to communicate to him on several occasions, reaching out to
his parents in Catalina Bena, Alabang, wrote to him several letters, and tried to contact his
personal numbers, but to no avail.
6. I then returned to my parents’ abode at Santo Carlo Poblacion, Muntilupa City for about three
months since I have not heard from respondent, nor his whereabouts after such events. It was
also to cool-off from our tense marriage relationship in the hopes of reconciling our differences
later on.
7. Sometime in August 2017 however, a relative who works in the City Hall of Muntinlupa
informed me that my husband, respondent Vicenzo got married to another woman, a certain
Isabela Antionietta, in a religious ceremony solemnized by Fr. Paladin Alessanderson at the St.
Peters Cathedral in the City of Muntilupa, on July 14, 2017. A copy of their Certificate of
Marriage is hereto attached as Annex ‘B’;
8. That my marriage with respondent Vicenzo Guiseppe is still subsisting and has not been
dissolved nor annulled. That his act of contracting a second marriage constitutes the crime of
Bigamy punishable under Article 349of the Revised Penal Code.
Thus, I executed the foregoing Complaint-Affidavit to attest to the truth of the facts
stated and for the purpose of charging respondent, whose last known address is at Buinida, Ayala
Alabang Village, Muntilupa City, with the crime of Bigamy.
AFFIANT SAYETH NAUGHT.

SATELLA BRIGETTE-GUISSEPPE
