DDO - MAGNITE CVT OIL COOLER RETAINING CLIP NOT FITTED

Dear Dealer Principal, Service Manager and NSC,

Please find below a Field Fix Tip on the MAGNITE CVT OIL COOLER RETAINING CLIP.

Applied Model: DDO

Model Year: 2021
Applied Range: SAF & SSA Markets
Commercial Name: MAGNITE

This bulletin serves as a refresher on the CVT Oil Cooler Clip NOT FITTED, and this concern was
detected during DD0 Task Force Activity.

Although information was shared in bulletin GI22-002 Nissan DDO Task Force Bulletin Cut Off on
26 February 2022, we are of the view that more information on detection and repair is required,
as this failure can lead to you as a Dealer or NSC absorbing the associated repair costs.

As per above explanation and pictures, the image on the left-hand side demonstrates the correct
fitment after rework has been completed. Ensure that during PDS and PDI signoff that these
components are checked thoroughly prior to delivering the vehicle to the Customer.

Should you detect a leak, the following steps as per the ESM and good practice needs to be taken,
and should the rework not be done correctly, the following repercussions could occur: -

• Oil cooler pipe could touch the cooling fan causing shaving or breakages;
• The above could results in CVT fluid loss and resulting in internal transmission components
damage and failure;
• Customer will have trouble selecting gears, shift shock, sporadic jerking and loss of torque
response;

Follow the latest ESM and Bulletin guidelines to complete the repair in accordance with Nissan
Specifications.
Please note that if the necessary checks are not done, and failure does occur, that this may be
excluded from a Warranty cost point of view, and attributed to either poor PDS, poor PDI or
improper repair, and can lead to you as a Dealer or NSC absorbing the associated repair
costs.
