The Owls of Blossom Wood

An enchanted wedding!

Author: Catherine Coe

Illustrator: Renee Kurilla

Summary of the book:

The book ´The owls of Blossom Wood´ was about three girls, Alex, Eva and Katie. When they went
into a tree trunk, they turned into owls and teleport to a magical forest called Blossom Wood. In this
beautiful Blossom Wood, there were two otters Jo and Sammy that were about to get married but
their wedding rings had been lost!

The three owls Katie, Alex and Eva had to get them the new ones. They went to a place where
magical dandelions were growing but unfortunately, they did not find any because the wind had
blown the seeds away…

The owls had to follow the wind to find the dandelions. They succeeded and found them! They had
to go to the badgers because they were the only ones that were able to create these magical rings
made of dandelions. The owls had to help the badgers make the magical rings because the wedding
was about to start! Luckily, they finished right on time when the otters were supposed to put them
on. They made it!

The otters had a beautiful and majestic party and there was so much fun! The otters thanked the
owls for the rings and the party went on.

When it started to get dark, the owls knew they had to go back home. There was so much fun at the
party that they did not want it to end. But it was very late so the owls said goodbye to all the animals
and then they left.

My opinion about the book:

I liked The Owls of Blossom Wood because I love animals and nature. It was a very exciting and
magical adventure reading the book. I was sad at the part where the otters lost their rings. As I
continued reading the story, I found out what happened later (at the end of the story) and I was
happy that the owls found new magical dandelions. I liked that they helped made new magical rings
and that the otters could have their beautiful and majestic wedding. In addition, they all seemed to
have a lot of fun. I like happy ending stories.

I did not like that the otters were so sad, because I love otters. It made me feel sad for them!

In any case, I enjoyed most of the things in the story, because I love animals and nature. I think it
would be much nicer if Alex, Katie and Eva were the owls forever and not human girls because it
makes the adventure less interesting (I don´t know why!?)

I recommend this book because it is not so difficult to read and I had a lot of fun while reading this
book. I know that the title sounds childish but trust me it is not not. If you are going to read this book
– The Owls of Blossom Wood – then I wish you to have the same fun and adventure during reading
this story like I had. I think that even some grown-ups would like this book because in my opinion, I
do not think it is only for children. My aunt read the book as well and said that it was interesting and
adventurous. If you read it and enjoyed it, you can buy different books in the series “The Owls of
Blossom Wood.
