The most essential pieces of equipment used in swimming sports competitions are:
a. Swimsuit or swimwear - an item of clothing designed to be worn by people engaging in a water-
based activity or water sports. Also, it is created to last longer than other materials even if used
repeatedly in chlorinated water.
b. Nose clip - little devices made of bent wire padded with rubber. They are designed to keep the
water out of your nose and air from escaping.
c. Swim cap - These are worn in an attempt to keep hair relatively dry or protect from chlorinated
water.
d. Goggles - protect your eyes from chlorine (and anything else that may be in the water), and
they help you keep your eyes open while you swim so that you can see where you're going.
