INTRODUCTION
Childcare boosts workplace productivity by allowing parents to work in a more relaxed
state. They are certain that their children are well-fed, safe, and secure. Childcare has a
direct impact on the firm's productivity.

A workplace daycare is typically an on-site facility that provides childcare for the children of
employees. The institution has a maximum age limit. The services are normally provided at a
reduced cost by the employer; however, some companies may provide them for free. Off-
site childcare providers, like these programmes, should be licensed, insured, staffed with
competent teachers and helpers, and provide a safe environment for groups of children.
The most important characteristics of childcare obligations that allowed parents to go to
work were the provider's dependability and the quality of daycare. If parents knew their
children were being cared for by a trustworthy individual who offered the right degree and
quality of care, they felt more at ease. Flexible work schedules also made it easier for
parents to plan for their children's care.

Childcare is considered as providing socio-economic benefits to both parents and

children. parents can work and/or train, while children are offered opportunities for play,
socialization, and education. Employers benefit from increased employee retention rates
and access to a wider workforce.

PROBLEMS
Companies must evaluate if a workplace day care programme is the best option before
deciding. It might wind up costing a lot of money if too few employees use the day care
facilities. The day care centre must be adaptable enough to appeal to a diverse range of
parents. For parents with older children, on-site day care is not an option. Your business
should consider how to assist parents with younger school-aged children who are unable to
use day care yet require supervision after school. Providing for day care at the workplace
should be a complete strategy that takes time and money to create.

High cost: The high cost of running a comprehensive service centre on-site is a major
source of concern. Furniture, rent, insurance, supplies, and labour costs may add up quickly,
but the benefits of productivity are just as tangible.

Liability: The business's responsibility in the event of a child's death can be severe.

Parental distraction: Having a youngster so near may be disturbing for some. Frequent
visits by a parent can have an influence on job productivity as well as a child's ability to form
friendships.

METHODS USED
While the expenses and liabilities may be discouraging, the benefits to the firm may be
substantial. With regulations and procedures in place, the opportunity provided by this
advantage may be extremely beneficial to everyone involved, including the parents, kid, and
company owner. Finally, children in the workplace can bring energy and cheer to the
workplace.

We live in a busy life. Instead of restricting their employees' ability to raise their children,
employers must adopt a mindset that encourages them to do so. Day care is important in
people's life in a manner that few other benefits are. This is not just the moral thing to do; it
is also the sensible thing to do.

BENEFITS
 EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Having a daycare in the workplace has clear benefits for the business. Such an endeavor goes
a long way toward enhancing the company's brand among employees. It also promotes
gender equality by providing crucial assistance to working mothers and new parents.
Consequently, the employer brand will be strengthened, which is important in the recruitment
and hiring process.

It's also simple to establish the business case for having an on-site nursery. To begin with, a
workplace daycare is a powerful tool for building employee loyalty and enhancing benefit
packages. As a result, it is ideally suited for all types and sizes of businesses – not just larger
ones.

By providing daycare for employees, the employers enhance the business's image as a
socially responsible corporation while also encouraging gender parity, workplace well-being,
and a good workplace balance. At the same time, on-site daycare improves a company's
production over time.

 COMPANY BENEFITS

Access to a Wider Talent Pool- Companies will be able to recruit from a larger talent pool if
they provide on-site care.

More Women in Management: In line with the previous argument, providing on-site daycare
to assist moms in returning to work might lead to more women in management positions.

Tax Credits: Some businesses may be eligible for a tax credit for providing on-site care.
Given the ever-changing tax environment, it's always a good idea to consult an accountant for
the most up-to-date information on possible tax credits.

Lower Absenteeism: If an on-site daycare is available, parents will not be forced to skip work
because their off-site daycare is unavailable, or their nanny is sick.

Enhanced Employee Efficiency

Longer Tenure, Less Turnover

CONCLUSION
Therefore, corporate childcare is a viable option for parents who want to keep their work
schedule while also reducing stress levels. While also providing a remedy for children's well-
being Several variables favor working parents.

Because daycare is so near to the office, where professionals look after infants, parents may
see their children whenever they want; securing a spot in an on-site facility is simple.

Daycare hours are adequately matched to business schedules.

Because of on-site centers, retention rates have improved.

Due to financial restrictions, many families, even in rich countries, would prefer that one
parent stay at home to care for the children rather than go to work and spend their whole
income on childcare. Companies that provide on-site daycare will be able to employ from a
larger talent pool.
