Course-level objectives (CLOs)
Instructional approach
This course will be delivered as a self-paced, asynchronous eLearning course in the LMS.
Learners will engage with the course material through videos and text based interactive modules,
optional discussion forums, and a course workbook that provides reflection questions,
assignments, and a format for notetaking to assist them in the completing the course
assessment.
Learners will be able to track and assess their own learning through formative assignments and
opportunities for engagement throughout the course. These assignments will be scored for
completion only. Learners will be required to pass a summative assessment with a score of 80%
or better to complete the course.

CLO2: Describe the program components that align with a Housing First approach for their own
program type

▪ LO2: Compare your agency’s practices to the HF national standard
CLO3: Integrate housing-focused case management strategies into their daily practice
▪ LO1: Identify places in a client’s journey to housing where the HF approach has great
impact
▪ LO2: Evaluate current case management approach using HF checklist
▪ LO3: Create a plan for implementing 1 new best practice based on lowest scoring area in
HF checklist
CLO4: Take steps to advocate for Housing First at various system levels
▪ LO1: Identify opportunities for advocacy at each system level (national, local community,
org-specific)
▪ LO2: Optional: Draft a letter of support for HF, highlighting the beneficial impact of the HF
approach that was covered in this course.
