    Sir:

    Greetings!

    Sometimes we tend to be our own worst bashers. We tend to be supportive


    and compassionate toward others, but we put ourselves down with negative
    self-talk and negative beliefs when confronted with problems.

    Studies show that practicing positive self-affirmations can prevent self-


    sabotaging- instead, it can motivate us to get back on our knees after
    experiencing adversity. Positive self-affirmations are positive statements and
    mantras that can change the negative view of oneself.

    In connection with this, the Guidance Counselor and the DRMM


    Coordinator would like to conduct an activity that promotes
    resiliency/pagkamatatag among learners. The activity aims to help learners
    promote a positive mindset and prepare in times of demanding situations
    and make sound decisions in disaster, life challenges, and problems.

    For the mechanics and guidelines:


     In this activity, Grade 11 and 12 curriculums are encouraged to
    create and design an affirmation station in each respective classroom.
     Affirmation phrases should be in Filipino to promote sincere, strong,
    and passionate feelings.
     Creativity and resourcefulness are encouraged in putting up the
    affirmation station.
     All learners shall take a selfie photo of themselves and post it on their
    Facebook account with the hashtag #TSASHSPromotesResiliency.
