Significance of the study

This study will be conducted to find out the factors affecting the decision-making of
college course preference of grade 12 HUMSS students from Philippine Academy of Sakya Inc.

School. By the time, the researchers gather all the needed information regarding the study. The
school can have implemented necessary activities, programs or events on how to improve the
student’s decision-making when it comes to choosing their courses.
Teachers. The benefits of this study for the teachers is that, they will know what to do to
provide support and give motivation to students who difficulty choosing their course especially
during class discussion and school activities. Through this research, teachers will be more
competent when it comes to handling their students.
Students. As the primary respondents of this study, this research will indicate the Factors
affecting the college course preference of Grade 12 student HUMSS. And by that, it will be a
good chance to make them realize that even factors affecting their decision-making is present,
they can still achieve choosing the right courses which is accurate to their skills.
Future Researchers. This research will be essential to the future researchers. This can serve as
their basis or guide to develop and further improve the study about decision-making in
choosing their college course preference.

Hypothesis

The study uses null hypothesis that claims there is no significant difference between the
independent variable and dependent variable. The researcher will try to rejects the null
hypothesis conversely showing that there is a significance between the variables.
Ho. There is no significant relationship between factors and course preference of grade 12
students.
