Project Introduction:

Film institute students have to produce a film as part of their curriculum, so they
require a shooting location, sets, and film departments, etc., on campus. This
Project constitute of major buildings such as the Film Institute, Shooting Floors,
Post- Production Block, Multiplex, and Backlot areas, as well as additional
features and facilities such as an Auditorium, Open Air Theatre, Workshop halls,
Preview Theatre, Film Institute Students' Hostel, and Staff Quarters, Recreational
spaces , Public squares and Entertainment plazas are also part of this design.

Thus, this thesis aims to boost the potential of the film industry to produce
cinematic masterpieces by providing the students quality education through
advanced facilities and create a significant cultural and social impact on the
economy of the community.

Aim of the Project:


This project aims to bridge gap between theoretical and practical learning of
film making along, with creating public spaces to explore the world of cinema.
To enhance the film industry to produce great movies by building advanced
film studio with new technologies.

Objective of the project:

• To Create awareness about importance of film and new technologies in


film making and generate interest in the field of cinema.

• To Promote study of film as an art and education through creating


integrated spaces. Which can be achieved by maximum transparency
of spaces with intermingling of indoor and outdoor spaces both in Film
city and Film institute.

• To build a futuristic film studio with advanced technology which has


ability to Facilitate screening of film/documentary, film festival as well as
promote theatres and live performances.

• To provide Leisure and entertainment spaces along the complex to
allow the public to come and have good time

Scope of the Project:

1. This project intends to integrate film institute and film city to promote
theoretical and practical experience.

2. This project also intends to create adventure zones and recreational


spaces, that can be explored by the public to know about the
advancements in the industry.

• Film institute consists of shooting studios, Tv production studios, editing


studios, workshop areas, recording studios with latest standards,
Auditorium and preview theatre to showcase their works with
accommodation blocks.

• Film city consists of Outdoor Shooting areas, Indoor Shooting areas for
film production and Post production blocks for Editing, Dubbing and
recording studios, Multiplex for film screening.

Limitations:

• The design proposal will not focus on natural terrain, since variations must
be made for film city.
• The design proposal will not focus on cost estimation and specifications.
