BASIC INTRODUCTIONS:
a. We need GOD’S HELP. We
cannot go alone without
the help of God. There is
always a time we feel
empty in our life, then only
God can fill our emptiness.
We can find God through
our prayer, our act of
loving our parents, friends
and people around us.
b. Our body needs liquid
supplement to support its
effectiveness. Without
drinking water in a day will
make us feel weak and no
energy at all. It is the same
with our spiritual life. We
feel empty if God is not
near us. Therefore, we
need God to satisfy our
thirst in spiritual life.
c. We need to work in order
to comply with our basic
needs in life, for example
foods, dress, and other
materials. Working is the
only mean to achieve what
we seek. In spiritual life,
we also need to work for
achieving spiritual
maturity through prayer.

THIRSTING FOR GOD
 ARE YOU THIRSTY?
a. In our world today, people always look for satisfactions
and for their unstoppable searching the meaning and
purpose in life. Oftentimes, they cannot fulfill what they
are aiming for, because they don’t have the proper mean
to achieve it. How much more, our culture of acquiring
more and more is inevitably affecting our moral aspect
of life.
b. As a NEWCOMERS in high school, you may find it difficult
to imagine where your lives are leading to and how you
carry yourself during this NEW CHAPTER of your life.
HOWEVER, as CHRISTIANS, it is good to be grounded on
what really matters most in life, that is YOUR
RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IN PRAYER. You must be
thirst for knowledge now, but all the more you must also
THIRST for GOD.
 PRAYER.
Definitions:
- According to the Compendium of the catechism of the
Catholic Church (CCC 2559), Prayer is the raising of one’s
mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from
God.
- In simple way, prayer is our action TO COMMUNICATE, TO
CRY OUT, to LOOK FOR HELP, TO SEEK GOD.
(Faithful people are praying and worshiping God)

a. What are they doing?
b. Why are they doing that action?
c. Do they have the same intention in
doing that action?
Simple explanation on the picture above:
From that picture, we can identify that there are some faithful people
doing the same action called PRAYER. They praise someone who is
powerful. They are called a faithful people because they have faith in
God. They believe only God becomes their place of trust. They are 1
