I. GOD IS TEACHING US
THROUGH HIS
WORDS IN THE HOLY
BIBLE.
a) Our Lord Jesus Christ taught
his disciples to pray. From the
Gospel of Luke Chapter 11:1-
13, We as Christian people
know that prayer is called as
the “OUR FATHER”.
a) We call our God in heaven as
OUR FATHER because we
are all Sons and
Daughters of God the
Father in heaven. We have the
same baptism that is “in the
Name of the Father, the Son
and the Holy Spirit”.
b) Prayer is the way to
communicate with God,
through prayer God will listen
to us because God love us.
c) We are called to become the
disciples of Jesus. Therefore,
Jesus becomes our God,
our Savior, our
teacher, and our
protector. We meet Jesus
in our prayer with our family
at home, and when we go to
attend the Holy Mass in the
church.
d) Now, let us reflect in our
hearts if Jesus really present in
us, so that we can start again
our lesson “Listening to God
through reading the Holy
Scripture”.
II. LISTENING TO THE
WORD OF GOD.
a. The word “LISTEN” means to
hear, to be attentive, to be
present, to be aware. The act
of listening entails
HUMILTY to Focus on
something.
b. The Holy Scripture
showed that Jesus really
listens to the Father in
heaven, during prayer time

A. HOW WAS YOUR EXPERINCE ON
PRAYER?
- Last lesson you have learned on how to search God
through prayer, you were also guided to thirst for
God. And at the end of the lesson we concluded that
God is the only living water that can satisfy our
thirst. Prayer is the only way to see God and to feel
His presence in our hearts. God will love us
unconditionally because God is merciful and
compassionate.
- By this time, we will search more deeper about God’s
presence among us. God has His words to
say to us all as His faithful people. God Words we
can find inthe Holy Bible. God words will help us
to listen to Him everyday of our lives, by following
His words we will also walk in goodness and
righteousness.
- Through HIS WORDS in the Holy Scripture, God
commands His People to follow Him alone. ONLY
through the HOLY BIBLE, God manifests to His people
of Israel and to all of us about His SALVATION
PLAN. Salvation History is the plan of God the Father
to save all of us humanity from sins and go back to
Him become one with Him in Heaven.
B. DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS A HOLY BIBLE?
- The Holy Bible or the Holy Scripture is
the WORD of GOD that was written thousands
of years ago under the inspirations of the
Holy Spirit. Although it was written by an ordinary
man but most importantly it is God himself who
guided them to encode and records all His words in
the form of the Holy Bible.
- There are two parts in the Holy Bible.
a) First part is the Old testament which
has 46 books. It was written hundreds of
before the coming of Jesus.

everyone who believes in Him

11:26) and share the love that
the Father has pondered to
each and everyone of us His
loving people.

b) The second part is the New Testament
which contained 27 books. The new
testament was written in the year of 50 AD
after the coming of Jesus also under the
inspiration of the HOLY SPIRIT. The New
Testament was written originally in
Greek andrecording the life and
teachings of Jesus and his earliest
followers. It includes the four Gospels
(Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), the Acts of
the Apostles, twenty-one epistles by St. Paul
and others, and the book of Revelation
C. SIMILARITY BOTH THE OLD AND NEW
TESTAMENTS.
Both the Old and New Testament is about JESUS CHRIST)
- The Old and the New Testament
telling about
have the same FUNCTIONS that is
the sacred words of God Himself to all of
us His people who have faith in Him. The WORDS of
God in the Holy Bible then become as the center of
our faith and trust. The Word of God is indeed the
living words that will save all of us, and surely bring
us back to God himself.
- The word of God in the Holy Bible proof to be the
word of life because it brings liberation to us all. By
reading the Bible every day at the same time we listen
to what the Lord is telling us to do, to reflect,
and to ponder His Words. Jesus wants us to be part of
His mission that is to listen to the voice of the
Holy Spirit that talks to us.
- This lesson will give you an opportunity to START
reading more the Words of God in the Holy Bible. At
the end of this lesson you will be asking to answer the
given questions pertaining to books in the Old testament
and in the new testament.
D. JESUS IS THE WORD OF LIFE
 The Gospel of John 1:1-5, explains that
JESUS is the WORD of Life, through
Jesus we all came to be, then without JESUS we
can do nothing in our daily life. We need to
LISTEN to JESUS speaking in our hearts,
through our parents, our friends and our Family.
LISTEN to Jesus means Listen to all people
around us who told us to do something good, and
to love one another, helping one another.
 Prayer: is the KEY, the mean, and
the tool to LISTEN to JESUS in the Holy
Bible. Open and Read the bible every
day! so that we can MEET with Jesus. Jesus will
HELP us if only we call him and Listen to him
speaking to us through Silence.
