OUR RESPONSE TO
A. INTRODUCTIONS:
There are three basic important
parts in the life of every Christian
GOD IN FAITH
people which we call the THREE
THEOLOGICAL VIRTUES.
The Theological virtue is a value
and the standard on which
every followers of God has to
base their lives.
The Catechism of the
Catholic Church No. 1813
would say that these virtues give
the Christian life and form his
special character. God instills
these virtues in the soul of the
faithful to permit them to
behave as His children to
become worthy of eternal
life.
These virtues are a reflection of
the presence and action of the
Holy Spirit within the life of every
Christian people.
What are those
theological Virtues?
a. FAITH
b. HOPE
c. LOVE
Definitions:
FAITH:
According to the Catechism of the
Catholic Church (CCCC) no 166,
Faith is a personal act, it is
also a free response of the
human person to the initiative of
God who reveals himself. It is
personal response to believe in
God.
HOPE
HOPE the desire for
is
something and expectation
of receiving it. In our catholic
faith, we desire for God as our
REV.
1. HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE IN
REACHING OUT TO GOD?
a. In the previous lesson, you have learned how to
reach out God through prayer. We were
also agreed upon the idea that prayer is the only
way to reach out God. There is no other way to
meet God than to humble ourselves in front of Him
with humility and total surrender begging His
mercy and graces.
b. Surely, we have a lot of dreams to achieve,
thousands of wanting and if not hundreds of
desires, at least unlimited goals to be addressed to
God during our prayer time. We hope and believe
that God will fulfil all things we have asked. We are
often times lead by our pride than our humility in
front of God. It is not a surprise when we
experience dryness spiritually because we feel God
had cheated us.
c. In this lesson 2, we will talk about our response
to God through faith. This lesson will help you
to understand better about your heart desires
and to see your true identity in front of the
Father Almighty in Heaven.
2. WHAT IS FAITH?
- Basically, faith is seen as something that every
Christians must have to maintain a very close
relationship with God. Faith in God means putting
trust in God, believe in God and let God do
everything for us. Faith in God is no other than
obedience to God.
- There is an old saying that says “Let God works for
us as if everything deepens on Him and at the
same you have to be passionate in prayer as if
everything deepens on you”. It means that Faith is
a total obedience to God. We as God’s followers
must be cooperative always at His designs.
- The other term for faith is BELIEF. BELIEF requires
ongoing effort to maintain closeness with God,
through prayer, personal reflections, attending the
Sunday mass, receiving the sacraments and so
forth.
- When You got drown by many challenges in life,
difficulty and depressions, and hatred and
