Learning Identifies the multiples of a given
Competency: number up to 100.
Duration: Week 1 CG Code: M4NS-lla-65
Learning Objectives: Cognitive:
After going through in this lesson, the learners are expected to identify multiple of a given number up to 100. Explains how to identify the multiples of a given number up to 100. The learner is able to apply knowledge of multiples in mathematical problems and real-life situations.
Definition: A multiple of a number is a
product obtained when the given number is multiplied by another whole number other than zero. Multiple is a product result of a number multiplied by another number For example, if we say 4 × 5 = 20, here 20 is a multiple of 4 and 5. The other multiples of 4 can be listed as 4 (4 ×1 = 4), 8 (4 × 2 = 8), 12 (4 × 3 = 12), and so on. Video Lesson Links: https://youtu.be/1WbPUe9VsBU
Activity 1: Write the first 6 multiples of 7.
1. 1 x 7 = 2. 2 x 7 = 3. 3 x 7 = 4. 4 x 7 = 5. 5 x 7 = 6. 6 x 7 =
Activity 2: Let’s solve this!
1. I am even number smaller than 48 but greater than 30. I am multiples of 6 and a factor of 72. What number I am? 2. Annie is counting the shoes in her closet. The shoes are matched in pairs, so she doesn’t have to count each one. She counts by twos: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 16. How many shoes do Annie has in her closet?
Activity 3: Answer the following questions.
1. What is the fifth multiple of 8? 2. What is the 7th multiple of 10? 3. Write the first 10 multiples of 5. 4. Give the first 10 multiples of 4. 5. From the first 10 multiples of 4 and 5, what are their common multiples?
