Hailed as De La Salle University's first

international central committee, the organizers

of the FORSEA: ASEAN Youth Career Summit

consist of young, talented and socially aware

leaders of different nationalities who intend to

provide opportunities for future professionals

of the global affairs and business fields.

As the sole and primary organization for all activities

related to Model United Nations in De La Salle

University, it provides an avenue for Lasallians to

enrich their knowledge about the art of diplomacy and

actively contribute to the Sustainable Development

Goals. It has been successfully and consistently

implementing its annual event, the De La Salle Model

United Nations (DLSMUN) which simulates the

meetings of selected United Nations (UN) committees

with high school, undergraduate, and graduate

students as delegates and committee Dais members.

After its first virtual and international installment, its

7TH DLSMUN 2021 yielded more than 350 delegates

and 100 partners and sponsors which enabled

MUNCOM to expand and initiate another flagship

program, the AYCS.

Relevant history, geography, law, religion, economics,

politics, sociology, philosophy, language and literature,

media, and communication are all very important disciplines

that should make up the knowledge base of a successful

ambassador.

In the international environment, at the very least, every

diplomat/ambassador has a principal duty to promote the

interests of his or her country or state and as such

expected to be able to tactfully try to reach an agreement

or compromise by a discussion with other diplomats or

foreign government representatives.

It is a very important skill for an ambassador to be able to

effectively communicate his or her positions to relevant

audiences both verbally and in writing. Due to the

increasingly dynamic environment in which the diplomat

operates, he or she must continuously be conscious to

quickly and smartly process information, listen attentively,

be clear, brief, and maintain a friendly ambiance.
