REPUBLIC ACT 10533

Republic act 10533 entitled an Act Enhancing the Philippine Basic Education System by
strengthening its Curriculum and Increasing the Number of years for Basic Education. It’s an act
that increasing the number of years for education which is the k-12. It gives every student an
opportunity to receive quality education. It helps students to decide what will be the course
that we want that will lead us to a successful life, for the students to be able to prepare in
college. It is an advantage for those students who want to be more ready before stepping the
next path of their journey.

2. MOTHER TONGUE BASED MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION (MTB-MLE)

The mother tongue-based multilingual education teacher lets the students to learn lesson using
their first language. It helps the students to be more productive in school because the language
that they’re using is their first language. It makes the lesson easy to understand. Using mother
tongue helps a child to develop their critical thinking and literacy skills. The children learning
using their mother tongue adopt a better understanding of the curriculum.

3. EXPLAIN THE “FIRST-LANGUAGE-FIRST”

First-language-first means it’s the first over everything. The first word that we speak is a
memorable one. It defines mother tongue. We would not able to learn another language
without overcoming our first language.

4. DISCUSS THE CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK OF MTB-MLE

MTB-MLE Education is an education in which the learners’ mother tongue is used in the
classroom. Learners begin their education in the language they understand best. It develops a
strong foundation in their mother tongue before adding additional languages. It says that
children with a solid foundation in their mother tongue develop stronger literacy abilities in the
school language. It is where we learning by using what we already knew to help us understand
what’s new. MTB-MLE enables learners to use both or all the languages for success in school
and for lifelong learning.

5. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FIRST LANGUAGE AND SECOND LANGUAGE?


The difference between first language and second language is the first language pertains to be
the first language you have ever spoken or have ever learned. It does not need to be taught. It
is our mother tongue or a native language and it is less complex. Children’s learn it effortlessly
while the second language is a non-native language that usually learned after acquiring the
mother tongue. It is a language that needs to be taught in order to communicate with a native
speaker of that language. It requires time and effort for you to be able to be fluent on that
language.

6. DIFFERENTIATE BILINGUAL, VERNACULAR AND MULTI-LINGUAL

The difference between bilingual, vernacular and multi-lingual is the bilingual is it is the ability
of one person who can speak or use two languages fluently and perfectly. While the vernacular
it is our mother tongue or the first language that we ever speak. It helps other people to
acknowledge that the language used is from a specific group. It honors diverse cultures and it is
everyday speech just the way people talk in day-to-day. While the multi-lingual it is a person
ability to speak more than two languages. It is a big privilege to have an ability to speak many
languages because it can help you wherever you go.

7. EXPLAIN LANGUAGE LEARNING AND LANGUAGE TRANSFER

Language learning is about learning a specific language. With the result that the student will
learn enough to actually be able to speak the target language. In language learning it offers
students the opportunity to explore how languages are learned and how they are most
effectively taught. It helps out language skills grow while the language transfer it consists of
imitating structures from the learners first language when they are speaking or writing
something in a second language. Language transfer is used by language learners especially
when they are unsure about which structure to use in the second language.

8. EXPLAIN LEARNING STANDARDS AND GRADE LEVEL STANDARDS

Learning standards is a goal of your learning. It defines the skills and knowledge that students
must obtain to prepared for college, work and life. It is also a guide of one person in reaching a
goal. It is a part of a learning pathway or progression and it describes educational objectives.
Grade level standards are learning standards and academic expectations for the students. It
defines what students should understand and be able to do by the end of each grade.
9. DISCUSS MEANING AND ACCURACY

Meaning it defines what is meant by a word, text or an action. It intended to tell something that
is not clearly expressed. It also intends to convey. While accuracy it is how close a measured
value to the actual value.

10. EXPLAIN “IF ONE’S MOTHER TOUNGE IS FORGOTTEN, ONE’S VALUE WILL ALSO BE
FORGOTTEN”

If one’s mother tongue is forgotten, one’s value will also be forgotten because our mother
tongue is our identity and it also provide better connection with your culture and it shows
where do you came from. Mother tongue is the first language you have ever spoken so we
should value it because it is part of our life and symbolizes where you belong. The best way to
thoroughly know about where you really belong or to know our culture is to know the language
that we speak. Mother tongue helps us to stay connected to our culture and our roots so we
should respect and never forget our mother tongue because it is part of who we really are.
