In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
During one of the board meetings in 2005 the general manager asked a
question to all saying (if you were a decision-maker, what would be your
dream for the outcome of this company in 10 years.)…
The vision and mission that have been set since the inception was the
main motive for us to achieve our ever renewable and growing targets.
The start was in 2000 (with a modest capital and 8 member staff) but at
the time we had set a target much bigger than our capabilities, believing
in Allah’s saying in Qur’an:
. ]501:‫[التوبة‬

“May you work, as Allah shall support your good work” [Tawba: 501]
Over the last years we used to set out the plans for each single year and
work hard in common and solidarity to achieve success of the plan and
reap the results by the end of each year exceeding the targets set out,
Thanks be to Allah.
Today we have, by Allah’s favor, realized most of our ambitions
summarized in our vision, namely, introduction of chemical industries to
our group.
However, this should not distract us away from the tenets
characterizing our march.
 In its progress, the company is similar to a plane... if it stops it shall
crash... that’s our belief (if we stop developing and enhancing, it
means we are backing down...)
 Under the corporate course towards development and growth,
there might pop up obstacles that may disturb such course of
development. So we had all to endeavor and do our utmost in
order to find innovative solutions to anticipate the risks and deal
with the issues whenever it happens.
 Seen the globalization and facilities for trade among the countries,
the competition is at its highest, therefore and based on our vision
and mission, we have to offer the best products at minimal costs
and best facilities.
Finally, it is my pleasure to be in a company where the spirit of
fraternity, collaboration, reliability and trust is of paradigm. Such ethics
were our source of elation and bounty. So let’s preserve our company by
preserving such ethics. Executive manager
Mohammah Tolaimat

®
GoldStone is a solid surface that has several physical, chemical and
mechanical properties that makes it the prime choice in many
applications in the household and public buildings, such as hospitals,
banks, offices, restaurants, commercial malls.. etc.
®
One of the most important properties of GoldStone solid surfaces are as
follows:

such as kitchens, restaurants, hotels … etc. as its surface is non-
porous thus preventing growth of mildew and bacteria. In addition
to the fact that the surfaces are almost impermeable, easy to
clean and without seams or joints that allow accumulation of dirt.
The sealing materials used are made from the same material that
renders uniformity and one unit appearance. Such features make
it the most suitable for use in hospitals and medical centers
(reception counters, nursing stations, service and washing basins).
®
2. GoldStone surfaces are stain resistant to the most of chemicals
used in common life. It is compliant in this regard with the Saudi
standards and can be used in school labs, clinics … etc.
®
3. GoldStone surfaces are liable for maintenance, restoration and
remodeling either as a result of misuse or consequent of moving
the product from one place to another.
®
4. GoldStone surfaces are fire resistant as it contains flame
retardant material aluminum hydroxide.
®
5. GoldStone surfaces have exceptional physical properties as to
hardness, durability and ease of modeling. Moreover, it has a
light-weight compared to natural marble as its specific weight is in
average 1.75 g/cm3 and may be efficiently used at a thickness of
12 mm in horizontal applications and 6 mm thick for vertical
applications, that makes it even more efficient (greater thickness
may evidently be used as per customer’s demand).
®
6. Finally, esthetic features of GoldStone surfaces are numerous and
diversified that makes it suitable in various interior design
applications whether in kitchens, bathrooms or with other
furniture pieces even in lighting, swimming pools and otherwise.

Furthermore, its availability in various colors whether as already
manufactured or as per customer’s demand, helps in meeting needs of
the designers.

orthophthalic polyester resin as modified by acrylic in balanced
proportions, ATH, in addition to pigments and further necessary
enhancing additives. The manufacturing raw materials are
compliant with the Saudi standards requirements.
 The company markets its products to customers upon conducting
audit and control by engineers, chemists and technicians to
ensure that the customer will obtain the best product properties.

Basic limitations
®
GoldStone solid surfaces are designed for indoors and specific outdoors
applications, taking into consideration that in case of outdoors
applications the procedures of design, installation and fixing should
observe some considerations as to the excessive heat exposure,
temperature fluctuation, expansion and contraction factors and UV
exposure, just like any other material. Non-observance of such
considerations may lead to slight discoloration, particularly in dark colors
and curves in certain surface edges.

Final shape and limitations:

The solid surfaces are usually of matt appearance with slight glossiness, the final
shape should finalized by the installation technician in several steps, starting from
the matt to extreme glossy depending on the customer’s request and properties.

Glossy, semi- glossy, deep and dark colors all require care and maintenance more
than other surfaces.

Instructions for use and care of GoldStone®
Albadaha Factory Company for Marbles is the biggest solid surfaces
manufacturer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Being aware that caring
for the industrial marble surfaces is deemed a hard task for the users of
this product, we are keen to address all the inquiries related to caring for
the product and provide the easiest ways to maintain beauty of the
product and to assure your comfort.

How to maintain the surfaces clean and glossy?

 It is recommended to follow the easiest ways of daily care to deal
with the stains resulting from food remains and spilled liquids
(tea, coffee … etc.) by using a soft cloth soaked in soap water and
diluted ammonia solution followed by thorough rinsing and
drying.

Avoid using sharp scraping tools as much as possible in cleaning

the surface and use instead clothes and cleansing solutions.

It has been established by experiences and studies that one of

the most serious reasons in losing solid surface top its luster and
appearance of wear signs is leaving water on the surface to dry
out and form a layer of dirt and blush that affect the color and
appearance. Therefore, it is absolutely important to dry out the
surface thoroughly after each use. Generally speaking, the dark
colors require more care than the light ones.

 In order to prevent the phenomena of calcination resulting from

hard water, we recommend complete drainage of water, then
thorough drying. In case of signs indicating formation of
calcination, we recommend using calcination specific solutions
reserved for kitchens and available on the market (we recommend
following the manufacturer instructions).
 To remove stubborn stains: it is recommended to use powerful
detergents or spraying whitening powder and leave it for several
minutes to set and then wipe it away in circular motion using a

| P a g e 45
soft cloth and rinse with water the dry out the whole area
thoroughly.
 It is recommended to sterilize the surface every now and then
using diluted bleach (1/100) to keep the surfaces hygienic and
disinfect it from harmful germs. As for the sink, it is recommended
to fill one fourth of the sink with the diluted bleach and leave it set
for fifteen minutes before scraping the base and sides with a soft
cloth then rinse thoroughly followed by good drying.

When using sharp tools such as knives, you should use a wooden board or similar
item in cutting in order to avoid scratching the surface that shall be difficult to
remedy by simple care methods.

 In case of spilling chemical substances (paints, metal and oven cleaners or

acetone-containing substances) it should be promptly removed using soap or
other foam liquid to avoid negative effects. Care should be given in storing
such materials to expose the health and safety of family member to risk.

Care in handling damage and thermal deformation:

®
Solid surfaces are thermal resistant but to a certain limit. GoldStone product is
thermal resistant up to 110 °C, in order to preserve the kitchen, the following should
be followed:
 Avoid placing the frying pan or cooking pot directly on the surface after
removing it from the stove or oven. We recommend waiting for 10 minutes
before placing it on surface.
 Use thermal pads or a piece of cloth to rest the hot pot on and it is better to
leave the pot cool out before placing it on the surface.
 Avoid placing ovens or any heat sources directly on top of the marble.
 The solid surfaces resist high temperature water up to 90 °C but it’s better to
use warm water in cleaning tasks and if required to pour boiling water in the
sink, we recommend opening the cold water tap to neutralize the heat of
boiling water.
 It is preferable to use a slightly high profile burner of the stove so that the
flames shall not affect the surface and emitted vapors.

Getting rid of blush and minor scratches:

As the solid surfaces lose its cosmetic after a while due to repeated use, blush and
scratches, we recommend the following:

 Thorough drying out is the secret to caring for the product.

| P a g e 46
 We recommend pouring some of the effective cleansing liquid on a sponge
and wipe softly the spot in circles starting frontward towards backward and
from one side to the other.
 Rinse out the spot with clean water and wipe it dry.
 The process could be repeated by more pressing on the sponge.
This way you shall get rid of minor scratches. As for the deeper scratches, we
recommend rinsing the area, with the leaving water remains and wipe out the area
using soft sandpaper in a straight motion up and down the crosswise until
disappearance of scratches, then rinse with clean water and dry out. It is
recommended to so practice on a wide area to avoid crating difference between the
sandpapered area and the rest of the surface. This process may be repeated till
removal of the scratches.
