Post 1: 5 interesting facts about baking around the world. List down a couple
of facts about baking from different country.
1. Egypt :
In Egypt there is a 4000 years old bread that is discovered in the
Egyptian temple. Ancient Egyptian would combining dough and
leavening agent to make a fermented bread as early as 2000 BC .
Bread was so essential that not only was it a source of sustenance, they
also used it as currency to pay the wages of laborers.

2. Philippines
We couldn’t leave out our very own baking history, which has many
influences. Our Malay ancestors were already baking versions of our
kakainin using steam. The Chinese brought in sweet treats like moon
cake and introduced dry heat technology in the process. And finally,
Spanish missionaries introduced various recipes that are still very
much part of our culture today like ensaymada and pan de sal, among
others.

3. Spain
Did you know that empanada holds an important place in Spanish
baking history? Each region in Spain fills their empanadas according
to their produce. During the Muslim invasion from 711 to 788 AD, the
Spanish consumed a lot of pork to proclaim their Christianity. Think
of all the chorizo that was consumed as filling during that time! Why
not try your hand at baking our flaky ham-filled empanada?

4. U.S.A
Franny Farmer published the Boston-Cooking School Cookbook in
1869, and it later became a baking authority for women everywhere.
Franny was very detailed when it came to instructions, and her recipe
for brownies influenced the way our favorite chocolate treats are
baked today. And speaking of brownies, you might want to try out our
delicious recipe.

5. Germany
Fast forward to 1928 when bread-making was industrialized in
Germany after Otto Frederick Rohwedder invented a very important
machine. It was used to slice and wrap bread. But sliced bread didn’t
actually catch on until years later, which means it wasn’t as big as we
may have thought it was! Still, companies that bake bread for mass
consumption have Rohwedder to thank for their success, and not
having to slice our own sure is a big help when making breakfast and
merienda.

batters take just minutes to make as there's no dough rising required.
And you can mix the batter in an electric stand mixer or in a mixing

Post 3: Do we need fancy equipment for baking? Explanation about baking

equipment and conclude whether the statement is true or false.

In this post, we will discuss does fancy equipment matter in baking?

In my opinion as a home baker, fancy equipment does not matter.

This is because I bake for fun and enjoy the smell of bakeries once its
finish. However, fancy equipment sometimes do matter when you
want to bake as a professional. Fancy equipment such as larger oven,
mixer etc will help you bake more bakeries and save much more time.

If you want to bake for fun, fancy equipment is an optional.

If you want to bake as a profession than fancy equipment is a must.

Most professional bakers would use the best oven or mixer in order
to speed up the process of their baking. Example, if you went to any
bakeries you would notice at the back of the bakeries there would be
a huge oven and mixer. This is because most bakeries would make
batches and batches of goods!

The larger the oven, the more goods they can bake.

Even their refrigerators are huge. They need to store a lot of frosting,
cakes, pastries and more.

In short, fancy equipment does not matter if you are baking for fun or
hobbies. It will matter once you want to bake as a profession.

My advice is to start little. Once you get the hang of it then you can
bigger.
