20th MSU-IIT Annual In-House Review of R&D Projects

MSU-IIT held an Annual In-House Review of Research and Development Projects on October

6, 2022, which was telecast online via Zoom. This event provided an opportunity to highlight our

faculty's ongoing and completed research. Yesterday, various areas were presented.

Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; Education, Business, and Economics; Natural Sciences,

Engineering Sciences, and Technology; Mathematical and Information Sciences; and Chemical,

Physical, Engineering Sciences, and Technology.

I believe that all areas were very interesting, but I chose and joined the Education, Arts,

Humanities, and Social Sciences breakout room (EAHSS). Ma'am Celeste moderated this

breakout room, which was evaluated by the following Doctors: Dr. Monell John F. Canizares, Dr.

Adrilene Mae J. Castanos, Dr. Glenn Pajares, and Dr. Angelo Mark P. Walag. Mr. Jay Rey G.

Alovera and Mr. Renebel O. Labadisos' study, "To Vax or Not to Vax, That is the (Herd Immunity)

Question: A Vaccine Acceptability Study," piqued my interest. I noticed that some Filipinos were

hesitant to participate. They were immunized because they were afraid of the risks, such as

death. I can't blame them for believing that. However, as a student nurse, my job is to provide

health education about preventive measures for avoiding or reducing disease.
