Education as a battle of survival and competence

Privilege is something that does not come to most people hence the entailed concept of luck. Yet
again, to which point does such societal rationality cease. Owing to large cases of teenage pregnancy and
enormous number of dropouts as the emergence of pandemic struck catalyzes dilemma that the country
face as an endless clamor. Hence, the absence of education induces ill favors such as the invalidity of need
to allocate money for the children’s literacy and eradicates the holistic entity of it as the bearer of the
child’s future in many ways of being subjectively or objectively.

As with these ill favors most of the time exposure to the internet allows flexibility and or freedom
in reaching various forms of disturbing contents served through social media. This brings about the facets
wherein minors adapt in a way that they also seek the validation it gets from other people who are also
benighted and or even refuses to take responsible course of action. Further, this is allowing more loophole
for the society to continuous provoke minors into doing such things. In line with what is shown in the
short film partakes to the importance of education no matter what the obstacles is despite the incapability
however it is not righteous to have current situation due to neglection. As with this, the child takes the
whole responsibility itself seeking means for survival and to provide for itself. One of the accustomed
norms in the Philippines is viewing their child as liable for having to help its parents or completely
obliterate their obligation to which does not come in congruence with the expectations to have them aid
their financial needs when they are old or unable to have a job and pay back those that has been given to
their child. You see, this predicament completely circles back to the importance of education where it
seeks to combat illiteracy.

Being that this documentation of my reflection reaches the end, there are two main points that
is needed to be pointed out as I devour the message of the short film striking strong debates in society.
First is the paramount significance that education can be no matter the instances are there is a way as

Ping, the main character shows throughout the short film as he endures his silent battles repeating Grade
7 in three consecutive school years for he does not have the resources that his parents should give. The
latter argument is as these might be given to some children this is also building up as them being an
investment or a retirement plan for their parents as they seek their stand in society, they are also expected
to have such role in their household.
