Hello 3F Families,

📖 Literacy Week - This week was full of exciting activities and events to celebrate the
importance of literacy development at school and at home! Some highlights include a musical
performance from Mr. Hudyma, a game of guess the teachers’ favourite songs, a music trivia kahoot
game, reading in the dark with flashlights, the book swap, the READO challenge, a scavenger hunt
in the library, a dance party in the gym, and a book tasting in our Starbooks classroom cafe!
Ask your child to share their favourite memories of our Literacy Week adventures!

💌 Valentine’s Day Information
We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14th! A class list of first names was
sent home earlier this week to assist your child in labeling cards if they would like to. I have also
attached a digital copy of the class list to this email. We will be making mailboxes at school for our
cards. On Valentine’s Day, students are encouraged to wear red and pink.
Snacks and treats are also welcome for our class party potluck. There are currently no food
allergies in our class. If you plan on sending a treat or snack for the class, please email me and let
me know. If there are a lot of families wanting to send in treats or snacks, I may ask that some wait
for the next class celebration so food does not get wasted. Thank you in advance for your
contributions!
