COURSE / SECTION: CWTS101 / B29
ACTIVITY TITLE: Term-End Essay Assessment
CASE STORY TITLE: One’s Responsibility Part-2

PRE-CWTS101 (EXPECTATION, NOTION AND IDEA)

Give your thoughts on what are your roles in the different interpersonal dynamics such as family, groups
and community.

POST-CWTS101 (REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS)

Give your thoughts on the learnings you gained through this course and its relation to your duties
as a citizen and active member of society.

I take it that my greatest takeaway from this course is the realization that community service is
more digestible than one might suppose, especially if it is presented along with all its specificities.

Throughout my time as a CWTS student, I’ve been repeatedly intrigued with how specific our
lessons went in terms of showing us learners how community service can be done. It didn’t just
speak about the values we should instill, nor did it simply give a list of do’s and don’ts that would
be discussed one week and forgotten the next. Instead, this course gave me a run-down of so
many things that reminded me of how community service has been done before, and that it can
still be done today, even in our youth. I had my struggles about my initial draft of the project
proposal, but as I heeded the lectures about the SERVICE components, the tools for analysis, the
examples of previous, the different methods by which projects may be implemented, and other
similar lessons, I came to see community service less like a mountain of workload and more like a
reality that we students can grasp and carry out on our own or with the help of those around us.

I shall carry on these learnings by committing to do my best with my project implementation in

the next CWTS course, which, needless to say, I am very much looking forward to.
