TASK PERFORMANCE
1. Which thesis group/prototype did impress you the most? Elaborate regarding its functions and
objectives.
The project "Arduino-Based Vehicle Speed Detector with Warning Signaling System for Diversion
Road in Cardona Rizal" impressed me the most because I happen to live near the Diversion
Road, and it will probably help me when I cross by there. A further reason is since I am pretty
fond of motorcycling and I frequently pass by there, this project can assist me since its objective
is to detect the speed of the descending car; if the vehicle over speeds, their system will issue a
signal to the motorist via a yellow light for junction approaches, which will state unsafe when
you advance into the intersection.
2. Which thesis group/prototype underwhelmed you the most? Elaborate and suggest room for
improvement.
3. Which thesis group/prototype didn’t meet the mark based on completeness, design, and overall
display? Elaborate.
The project that didn’t met the criteria is the “Arduino-Based Smart Baby Stroller with
Gyroscope Sensor, Automatic Braking System and Moisture” When I arrived at the gymnasium,
Sir Maraya instantly criticized them. I was baffled as to why they were being lectured; the
reason was that their project was not finished and needed components. When I clarified to the
researchers what their project was, I only liked one of the systems they described. I questioned
as to why it was required to automate a baby stroller. I'm not sure which parent can leave
without their child's stroller. Their ABS is also ineffective because the stroller does not go at high
speeds; ABS is only used on motorcycles or vehicles.
4. Based on the demonstration, what challenges do you think might affect the development of
your thesis in Capstone 1?
Based on my visit, I observed several projects and asked questions about the components they
utilized; it turns out that I was mistaken when I assumed we would only need a few tools for
capstone 1. We will encounter difficulties with coding and how the components will be put
together to meet the goals we have set. After all, developing a project is quite complex,
especially if it necessitates the automation among all systems.
5. Did the demonstration help the direction of your current thesis? In what way?
Absolutely, I am grateful since we were able to walk around and ask questions about projects
related to what we are researching before the thesis defense. We discovered the benefits and
drawbacks of the components that would be utilized in our actual project. I also learnt what to
avoid and what to remember because I'm sure it will come in handy when we start developing
the prototype.
