1 Topic: Family environment on children’s behaviour (Fact)

SPS: To persuade my audience that family environment can affect children’ development.

Central Idea: There are three reasons that proves that family environment can affect
children’ development.

Main ideas:
i. Children' behaviour and personality development vastly revolves around family
environment.
ii. Parents’ support influences children in terms of their level of interest at school and
their pursuit of goals.
iii. Family relationships and bonds can immensely affect how children form
relationships and bonds with other people from a young age be it with friends or
other relatives.

2 Topic: Animal abandonment (Value)

SPS: To persuade my audience that abandoning pets is morally wrong.

Central Idea: There are 3 main problems caused by animal abandonment other than the
pets will feel pain and helpless.

Main ideas:
 i. Pets that got abandoned by their owners are less likely to be able to survive outside
of captivity because they are used to being fed.
ii. Abandoning pets can increase the number of stray animals and causing a lot of
social problems around the neighbourhood.
iii. Exotic pets that got abandoned are forced to live in non-native environment and
they have high possibility harming the native species.

3 Topic: Underage vaping (Policy)

SPS: To persuade my audience that government should enforce stricter laws to prevent
underage vaping.

Central Idea: The number of underage vaping has been growing recent years and it is a
serious problem that can affect their health and moral values.

Main ideas:
i. Underage vaping can develop bad habits and harming their lung’s health.
ii. There are two main causes of the increase in the number of teenagers vaping, peers
influence and interesting flavour of e-cigarettes.
iii. Government must take action and enforce stricter laws on e-cigarettes and vaping
to prevent underage vaping.
