EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Mixed fruit chips (also referred to as fruit snack) are chips
or crisps that are prepared using fruit. Fruit chips may be
fried, deep-fried, dehydrated, dried or baked. Fruit chips may be
eaten as a snack food, and may accompany other foods such as
dips, or be used as a topping on dishes.
This is conducted to determine the viability of engaging a Mixed
Fruit Chips business in Casiguran, Aurora. It is conducted from
October 2022 to January 2023. The data used in this study were
gathered through searching books and other unpublished materials
such as feasibility studies and through the help of the internet.
The data collected were analyzed using content analysis.
The proponents of the project are Ms. Merry Kriss E. Rivera and
Ms. Lanie Bacho. The promoters also studied the other aspects for
this viability such as the technical aspect, financial aspect,
management aspect, and socio-economic aspect of the project.
Based on the gathered data, the researchers made the
following conclusions.
The researchers therefore conclude that the proposed
business is really feasible in our province since the proposed
business already exists as of now. It is also concluded that this
business will be suitable for the community of Casiguran, because
the services of the business can be easily reached.
The researchers conclude that establishing this kind of
business requires a lot of work, thus, it cannot be done easily.
It requires broad knowledge about financial principles and method
for cash management. Proper procurement, utilization and
allocation of financial resources are needed to ensure the
business’ profitability.
This proposed business adopted a partnership form of business
organization. The researchers bind themselves to contribute
money, property and industry into a common fund with the
intention of dividing this project and its profit among
themselves.

The marketing strategy of this project focused on the 4 P’s of

marketing namely; product, price, place, promotion. The target
market of the project is the residents of the Municipality of
Casiguran. The project is also concerned with the overall
performance of the business. The project is applicable to all
individuals that have the capability of paying the service.
The study revealed that future demand for this type of
industry is continuously increasing due to the development of the
technology all over the world and increasing population of the
Earth.
The total investment of 900,000.00 generated rates of return for
five years. In the first year it generated 50.16% in the first
year of operation, 52.45% in the second year, 54.70% in the third
year, 57.75% in the fourth year, and 59.32% in the fifth year.
These figures led the promoters to conclude that the business is
financially feasible. These rates of return on investment are
enough to compensate for the risk associated in operating this
type of business.
The averages owner's equity will generate the rate of the return
for a five-year period as follows: 26.71% on the first year of
operation 26.67%on the second year 26.61% on the third year,
26.97% on the fourth year, and 26.58% on the fifth year of the
operation. These figures led the proponents to conclude that the
business is financially feasible. This rate on owner’s equity is
enough to compensate for the risk associated with the operating
business.
The total shows that the total investment of Php900,000 can be
recovered within 1.76 years. This indicates that the investment
is feasible for the investors of capital and can be recognized in
a short period of time, and it is worthwhile to invest in this
project.
The project contributes to great development in the geographic
area where it is established. It pulls into the site investors
thereby creating a chain of communications in the community and
outside the vicinity of Casiguran, Aurora.
The establishment of the Mixed Fruit Chips helps both the
owner’s employee and the community because it serves as a source
of income for the owners and employees.
