Perú hosts the On Line Youth World Cup


Hundreds of athletes U-17 from 193 countries Will take part in an international
event that Will hold from November 11 to 18. Peruvian Sports authorities
decisively back the contest.

The world’s best weightlifting prospects will come into action from November 11 to 18 at the On
Line Youth World Cup organized by the Peruvian Weightlifting Sports Federation (FDPLP), with
the support of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and the Peruvian Sports Institute
(IPD).
In this way, the world of weights continues to bet on online tournaments, as happened with the
successful Pan American Cup for seniors last July.
In this kind of contest, the athlete participates from their country of origin and is observed by the
judges from web cameras installed in the sports venue.
Due to this kind of events, the IWF managed to keep its associated federations active and athletes
to continue with the tuning in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The preliminary list of participants includes young people who have already participated in face-
to-face competitions and are on their way to great achievements in their expectant sports careers.
Men include: Do Tu Tung (Vietnam), Nasar Karlos May Hasan (Bulgaria), Karapetyan Garik
(Armenia), Bekbolat Rakhat (Kazakhstan), Oracko Dominik (Czech Republic). Women: Reeves
Olivia Lynn and Yun Julia (United States), Bektas Cansu (Turkey), Nguyen Thi Thu Trang
(Vietnam), Abdullaeva Nigora (Uzbekistan), García Gómez Mariana (Mexico).
Along with them will take part representatives of the five continental federations that group 193
national sports federations.
Peru, the host country, has also presented some of its youth figures.
Men: Nol Ríos Chumbe (Saposoa), Franchesco Elizalde (Tumbes). Women: Analí Saldarriaga
Yovera (Lima), Estrella Saldarriaga Dioses (Tumbes), Zayuri Sullca Huatarunco (Huancayo), Luz
Buitron Victoria (Lima).

WORLDWIDE BROADCAST
The contest will be broadcast by the signal of a major international media. At the local level, the
FDPLP leadership is in negotiations to broadcast it through an open signal channel with national
reach.
The Online Youth World Cup has all the ingredients to achieve sporting and institutional success.
As it is recalled, the FDPLP successfully held the 2019 Lima Grand Prix that brought together the
elite of weightlifting at the Eduardo Dibos Dammert Coliseum in San Borja.
This time the athletes will participate from their respective locations, but making the best effort to
reach the best positions in the final classification. The show is guaranteed.
