Statement of Purpose

Introduction and Experience

This statement is to describe myself as a student who is willing to study MSc International
Business Management at University of East London. My name is Ali Raza.
I successfully completed Matriculation examination in 2010 from BISE FAISALABAD. After that
I did my Intermediate in 2012 from BISE FAISALABAD too. After completing my Intermediate I
worked in Haider High School Jaranwala from 5 jan 2013 – 17 dec 2013. I did my BA degree in
2015 from University of Punjab. I did diploma in Computer and Business in 2016 and my MA Degree in
2017 from University of Punjab. From 7 mar 2017 to 23 dec 2017 I worked in Sadaqat Textile Mills as
a Computer Operator and from 1st Jan 2018 till date I’m working in Icon College as English
Lecturer.

Why not Pakistan for the Degree?

My first priority was to get this degree from my own country but all my teachers and colleagues
suggested me that I should get my degree from abroad. They knew that companies in Pakistan
prefer candidates who hold internationally recognized degree. I was totally convinced by their
advice. So I started searching for best English speaking education providing countries because all
my previous education was in English. There were only four countries which were on the top of
list. My favorite countries were USA and UK; luckily both were on that list. I started gathering
information about UK and USA so that I will be able to choose one of them to go for higher
studies. After gathering information about these countries I dropped USA from the list because
of higher tuition fee, it was also far away from my homeland and living with extensive
curriculum duration as compare to UK.

Why I Choose UK?

Choosing a country with the best educational reputation which is also affordable is very important to me.
I considered other countries too like USA, Australia, Canada but I found that UK is most affordable
country to me and is a perfect place for me to gain excellent knowledge. The universities in UK are top
ranked universities and they are internationally recognized all over the world. It provides so many
facilities to their foreign students and the law and orders are also very helpful and peaceful for them.
Getting a degree from UK will be very helpful for my future because it has a great value in my country. I
will be able to find a good job in a well reputed company in my country with a good salary package. Uk’s
educational system is very innovative and updated and it will help me see my potential and will be very
beneficial for me to help me grow as a professional in my field.

Selecting MSc International Business Management

This MSc in International Business Management course will prepare me for a huge variety of
business roles in a global context, whether I’m interested in entrepreneurship, global innovation,
corporate strategy, consultancy or multinational management. The staff and students are drawn
from all over the world with widely varied expertise, making this MSc a truly international
program. The course looks toward future trends in business, from the changing role of business
in society to the impact that rapidly evolving technology has on business in a global context. I
will be trained to be mobile across different markets in high-tech, knowledge-intensive
industries; remain flexible in the face of technological change, and maintain an international
outlook as the world evolves. I'll learn about the way businesses can adapt to new challenges,
from the importance of sustainability in the face of climate change to the rise of robotics and the
Internet of Things. Based in University Square Stratford, close to the commercial and financial
centers of the City of London and Canary Wharf, I will benefit from fantastic facilities in a
purpose-built learning environment. The course is designed to resonate with people from a
variety of backgrounds, so I won't need to have specific academic or work experience.
Throughout the degree, I will develop crucial analytical, research, and communication skills as I
will work on projects with my fellow students and undertake my own original research. The
personal tutoring scheme also gives me access to bespoke academic advice and exciting industry
opportunities. As a master's student, I will hone my ability to critically analyze concepts and
issues in international business by studying the latest thinking and research as I will examine
real-world business practice through case studies of global companies. For the bulk of the course
I will study core modules to deepen my knowledge of managing resources, innovation, supply
chains, strategy, leadership, change management, marketing, and research. I can choose to do a
dissertation or I can study an additional module and produce a management report based on
independent research. Or I could produce the business plan for my new venture. Throughout my
time I’ll learn how to collect and analyze information and data from a wide range of sources in
order to enhance my understanding and insight of the topics I’ll study.

After the completion of my MSc International Business Management degree I will come back
to my country and start my career in this field. Furthermore I will recommend my institution
authorities to improve the method of study and research as it exists in University of East London.
I can have monthly salary of 70000 to 90000 PKR in start.
