1. The following table describes the distribution of the level of education of people older than 25
in the USA in the year 1970. “Level of education” is measured by the number of years one has
attended school. End point conventions: a class includes its left end point, but not its right one.

a. Draw a histogram describing the data.


b. Find the percent of people who have 7 years of education or less.

2. The following histogram describes the weekly salary of students employed in waiting tables
(in New Israel Sheckels). No one earns more than 1,000 NIS. The rectangle above the 200-500
NIS is missing, what should be its density (height)?
3. The distribution of salaries in a certain population is summarized in the following table:
