The evaluation of this course is based on Continuous Assessments, Mid-Term Assessment and
Final Assessment. In order to ensure that the learning outcomes have been achieved and to avoid
focusing solely on exam results, evaluation includes a variety of formative and summative
assessment methods (GFP-Academic Standards-Assessment). Feedbacks are to be given for
continuous assessments. For Mid-Term Assessment & Final Assessment students have to Appeal to
see their assessment papers and for feedback. Once the students have seen the assessment, they sign
the sign-in sheets.

Students learn how to think, work on and write a research term paper on a specific topic. 1 report on
a topic of student’s interest from the list provided by the teacher is chosen and the written work is
submitted.
Note:
1. The course (Medical Terms) is delivered via Moodle. Exercises are uploaded on Moodle
2. The first four hours are used to study the Medical terms from Chapter 2 of the book
Illustrated Guide to Medical Terminology. The component is completed by week 4 and the
remaining hours are allocated for SRA Research Lab.
3. Science Research Lab is a programme in basic research skills. Students are introduced to the
skills and resources, through the SRA Research cards (levels 1, 2 & 3) to do their own
research reports.
4. The aim of this component is to get the students familiar with the research skills, such as
skimming, note taking, finding and supporting details, using index, dictionaries, cross
references etc. and help students to think, and work on a topic and write a report on a
specific topic and to be uploaded on Moodle.
