Answer the following questions. Be sure to look at the marks for each question
to understand how many points are required in your answers.
B. If someone asks about a person for a specific permissible purpose and is told
of things that this person is known for in that regard, then this is not backbiting.
This depends on the situation. If you are saying nice things about someone when they are not
there (in this situation what the person is known for), then this is not a form of backbiting.
However if any rude or inconsiderate things are said about the mentioned person then this is
backbiting which once again is prohibited in Islam.
C. Allah knows everything.
Allah is the All-Knowing, the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving. There are 99 names of Allah, and
one of them is that he is the all-knowing.
D. Allah made different groups of people for a reason.
Allah knows and is aware that we all have our differences and made us this way for a reason.
Our differences can be in our looks, behaviour, and anything else, and Allah has made our life a
test in which we must respect other people no matter what – whether it be their beliefs or
opinions.
e. It's not permissible for a Muslim to defame themselves.
This is not allowed in Islam as defaming someone includes the action of mocking/insulting others
in which is considered very disrespectful, rude and impolite, especially when we have been told
by Allah that we must respect others no matter what.
