Challenge 1: Global Bike Germany GmbH

Objective Understand the structure of Global Bike Germany GmbH. Time 10 min

Motivation After you have made yourself familiar with the GBI company in the US you would
like to understand the German GBI company in detail.
Scenario Look at the departments of Global Bike Germany GmbH in the organization chart and
note down their titles and division leader of Sales Department DE South. Finally, check if
number and titles of the departments match Global Bike Inc. in the US.
Note As the challenges are based on the Business Process Analysis case study you may use all
previous tasks as a reference. However, it is recommended to solve the challenges without extra
help in order to test your acquired skills.

Scenario In the ARIS menu, choose the BPMN model Sales and Distribution Process Business (SD).
Open the eEPC for the process step (Create Quotation). Which job (position) in the US processes
this step? Which person is assigned to this position in GBI US? In which role does this employee
act? Which other employee is this role assigned to in the Global Bike group?

Challenge 6: Accounting Model

Objective Understand the accounting model MM – FI. Time 20 min


Scenario Open the accounting model SD – FI as shown in step 8 of this case study. Click on
Bank Credit and then, using the object information on the right, navigate to the accounting model
FI – MM Integration Point. Explain the differences of both models based on their underlying
business processes (procurement vs. sales).

In accounting model F1-MM the customer was receiving via 2 transaction Active and Passive
whereas in the accounting model FI-SD the customer is receiving the payment via in transaction
type Active without using Passive, moreover it can be seen in this two models.

accounting.
