Cebu
The legislative body is composed of 18 councilors, with 16 councilors elected from Cebu City's two
councilor districts and two elected from the ranks of barangay (neighborhood) chairmen and the
Sangguniang Kabataan (youth councils). The council's presiding officer is the vice-mayor (elected by the
city).

Political Subdivision

The five major cities in Cebu province are Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, Danao and Toledo; while there
are 48 towns or municipalities. Facing Bohol Strait is the island's capital, Cebu City and historic Mactan
Island lies just across the city's harbor.

Cebu City is bounded by the city of Mandaue and the municipality of Consoalcion in the north; city
harbor and Bohol Strait in the east; Talisay town in the south and Toledo City in the west. Of the 73
barangays comprising the city, 30 are categorized as mountain barangays with land area totaling 27,797
hectares. There are 6 congresional districts, 3 component cities, namely: Lapulapu, Danao and Toledo; 2

Bohol

The entire province is run by the Governor and the Vice Governor. Every district is governed by a
congressman and its 3 board members. There are 47 municipalities or towns and each town has its own
mayor, the highest ranking position, supported by its Vice Mayor and Councilors.

Negro's oriental

Negros Oriental faces Cebu to the east across the Tañon Strait and Siquijor to the south-east (which
happened to be part of the province before). The primary spoken language is Cebuano and the
predominant religious denomination is Roman Catholicism. Dumaguete City is the capital, seat of
government and most populous city of the province. With a population of 1,432,990 inhabitants, [4] it is

barangays.
Dumaguete City is the provincial capital and seat of government. It is also the most populous city,
despite having the smallest land area.

Siquijor

It is recognized as a center of mystic power and a capital of mystic activities and black magic. Siquijor is
known for the infamous agimat and gayuma. In spite of this, Siquijor offers incredible sites and sights
and is rapidly becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines.
