b. give examples of things for the five basic shapes;
c. use the five basic shapes to draw things; and
d. appreciates the importance of five basic shapes.

the five basic shapes.

found anywhere, and it is important for us to
recognize the different shapes, we will be
counting the size and corners of each shape by
doing this we can be able to identify the
different shapes.

So, fist we will learn about squares.


There are many squares everywhere. Can
anyone think of an object that has a square
shape?

Square – A square have four straight sides


that are all the same length or sizes.

Rectangle – is almost like a square but their
sides are not all the same sides.

Triangle- triangle have three sides, two sides


of the triangle come together to form corners
also.
how many corners does a triangle have?

Circle- A circle has no side.

Can you give me an example of a circle?

Star- star is made up of small triangles. A star


has five corners and ten sides.

D. Generalization A ball teacher


Okay class, I hope you understand our lesson.
You need to remember that there are five basic
shapes. The shape that has no side isa called
the circle. A shape that has two equal sides is
rectangle and the shape with four equal sides is
called square. We also have triangle between
sides and lastly, we have the star that has five
corners and ten sides.

Can you repeat all again, what are the five


basic shapes?

Okay class, great job.

E. Application
And now class let’s have an activity.

one of the five basic shapes and draw star
